Unit 337 is newly remodeled and nice. But, unit has very thin wall.

We stayed here for 1 week. See photos for all the setup. New kitchen and bath. The wall is very thin; one night, the next door owner left their dog unattended and it kept barking till 12:30 in the morning. We can hear the dog bark like it was next to us. We called off hour security and they came to took care of it. The other couple early morning the next door woke up at 6AM and we can hear all the noise their kids made and the vibration from them slamming their door. Besides this issue, the unit is very clean and new. The dual shower is an excellent add-on. The pull out couch has inflatable mattress, which is very nice and firm after inflated. 2 55" Insignia TV that has HDMI input to use. They offer Spectrum TV with HBO. We didn't tried the swimming pool. They offered cold breakfast. The front desk is very attentive and friendly. They offer free popcorn and hot beverage. The room service worker is very nice as well. We didn't call for service, they knock on our door and offer to us anyway. There's no scissor and ladle. Something we wish they offered. Feels very safe and convenient staying here. Good Location

Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Though units are older they are well maintained and comfortable. The motel is located close to restaurants and casinos. There is ample parking. Outstanding Value Hotel for Families

Stayed at the Americana for the first time, and it is now my favorite South Lake Tahoe place. Good price, attentive staff, free bike rentals (albeit no gears which is tough to pedal uphill), great location off Pioneer trail (next to nice bike path, 2 blocks from lake), clean quiet rooms, large grounds to relax in, or let kids play in, very nice swimming pool with hot tub AND Sauna!, massive DVD collection of great movies, again free, free parking, OK continental breakfast. My family had a very enjoyable stay here , and will be back. Stayed at the Americana for the first time, and it is now my favorite South Lake Tahoe place. Family Friendly

Americana tries to make families feel welcome. Allows pets, offers continental breakfast daily, various daily activities (such as tye dye shirts). Quite accommodating. Without air conditioning upstairs rooms are pretty uncomfortable during summer. Downstairs preferred. Very good location. Would be happy to go there again. Mis-representation in advertising

Any use to the couch for sleeping creates a fire hazard! Rooms are not designed for more than 2 people using the same bed and the fire department should be notified! The parking is also a challenge since many guests are packing their rooms with additional quests. While technically including a kitchenette, bath room & 'kitchenette' sink area are small and inconvenient. Room to layout suitcases is likewise limited. This was the worst place we stayed at in our 3 week travel and we stayed at less expensive / better appointed and better managed along the way. Front desk demeanor was disappointing at best and consistent with a 'take or leave it' attitude for an area with more demand than supply. Any use to the couch for sleeping creates a fire hazard!
