Great Pool for Kids

I go to this resort every year in November/December. The pool in West is awesome for kids although it is always closed when we are there which is very disappointing. Must be a slow time of the year so they close it. It is a lot of fun so make sure it is open before you go. They do have other pools; however, if you go to the others you will need a car to get to them. The rooms/furniture are old and outdated. Definitely need some updating. The restaurant wasn't doing the breakfast buffet which was very disappointing as that is what we were hoping for but due to Covid they stopped doing that. Hoping they open that up again. Overall the resort is average. I say give it a try. I go to this resort every year in November/December. Beautiful Views

Stayed for 4 days for a wedding. The view was spectacular. Rooms were large, very well maintained and clean. Restaurant was fabulous. Would love to go back again. Very nice resort

We had a great time. There was a lot to do, even with the outdoor pools closed for the season. Our rooms on the east side (2 bedroom unit with 3 full bathrooms) was large and the view was great. We had a problem with the toilet running, no shower curtain in one of the bathrooms and the air conditioner not staying on. After we called the front desk, the maintenance crew was literally at the unit 5 minutes later and fixed everything. I think that's great. Nothing negative to say except.... the restaurant is not good. Food seems to be out of a can or frozen. We had made a dinner reservation which we confirmed the morning of arrival. When we got there we found out the restaurant was closed and a wedding was going on. They didn't know that when I confirmed? The staff was very dismissive. They moved us to the tavern but there was no place for us to sit. Long story short, manager Chris helped to get it sorted but there had been no info that 5 weddings were held during our weeklong stay and the restaurant was very limited. That should have been disclosed when our vacation reservation was made as the resort is not near to any other restaurants. That being said, the rest of the resort was great and we will be back. family friendly gem

went to a wedding at Steele Hill and was amazed by the view and amount of amenities they offered. staff was friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend for a family getaway. plenty of outdoor activities and gorgeous surroundings. definitely take a bathing suit, even if you don't swim there are several hot tubs to enjoy on the property. went to a wedding at Steele Hill and was amazed by the view and amount of amenities they offered. staff was friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend for a family getaway. plenty of outdoor activities and gorgeous surroundings. definitely take a bathing suit, even if you don't swim there are several hot tubs to enjoy on the property.

2 night stay

We stayed here as part of the package that came with the bronco off rodeo at gunstock. Got in late friday night. Had a one room lodge in the east building. Room was great, had anything we could have needed. Had a balcony with a view. Used the pool and hotubs both nights. (The outdoor hottub is better than the one inside). Did not get a chance to use the pool with the slide in the west building. We did walk up the observation tower which was cool. Breakfast was good. Had a couple of drinks at the tavern and although the bartender was ready to go on his vacation and wasn't super friendly, we couldn't complain. We would go back.
