Good stay

Bellman Max was very helpful and very kind!! Very clean rooms and pool was nice and clean. Breakfast was the best with homemade omelets. The scenery was great and beaches were amazing! Rony was great! Perfect service! The pool bar was fantastic with great views. Can't wait to come back next year! Would definitely recommend this resort and again, go up the rooftop pool and make sure Rony is serving drinks! Rony was great! Perfect service! The pool bar was fantastic with great views. Beautiful View

Great to get back to Mexico. PV and area has great diversity all packed into an area within 1 to 2 hours north or south of the airport. From Sayulita, Rincon De Guayabitos and Bucerias in the north to Old Town PV, Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan in the South. Decided on Grand Park Royal (GPR) for this trip. Located South of PV, close to Mismaloya. Beautiful view, great beach....a little more active waves perhaps for some. Small pool area, little hard to get around due to wet walk ways around the pool. Food was fine, 1 buffet and 3 ala cartes. This to me was a very normal all-inclusive resort. Somethings that you dont expect amaze you and somethings that you do expect will disappoint you. I've enjoyed 95% of all the resorts i've been to because i do a lot of research and i am very open minded. Some great staff, some poor staff. Staff are like kids, they are only as good as the people looking after them. Great first impression at GPR. Max, the bellboy. Meets you with a friendly smile and is full of great advice. Max is a chill guy and makes your day trips easy. P.S Uber is cheaper than taxis. Israel, Chief concierge, is also a great guy with a lot of advice and help. Israel (and Max), treat you like they own the place and want the very best for you. Thanks guys! Roof top bar is included if you upgrade your room. To me, it was worth it. Unfortunately the two bartenders up there loved talking to each other much more than serving or cleaning up after their customers.... I've been to 65+ trips to Mexico, DR, Jamaica, and Cuba. I have a lot of knowledge and ideas and thoughts that all work for me. My best advice is to research, respect, and be open minded. The people in these countries need us as much as we need them. Great Deal and Amazingly Friendly Staff

My partner and I got a deal for a flight/resort so the price was amazing for a week's stay! The staff was always doing their best and Max (bell boy) was super helpful always. This was my partner and I's first real vacation at a resort so we weren't sure what to expect but we didn't attempt to pick up any Spanish before going and that was a mistake, there was quite a language barrier with some staff members which created some confusion. I had been to a Cuban resort a few years ago and didn't need any Spanish there so I thought it would be transferrable. Rough Parts: - Park Royal has an app that you can use for a number of services but the one morning we used the app for room service it did not go through properly apparently so we missed breakfast because we had to leave for an excursion, so that was quite disappointing. - The beach was beautiful but the crashing tide was a bit rough during the time we were there so on one occasion my partner and I got caught and flipped and left with some scratches - we're both pretty athletic so it was surprising. I would not let kids be alone at all on the beach. - The main pool with the swim-up bar was normally full of children so that wasn't the most relaxing if you want space from the kids you have to be in the deeper end but then it's hard to relax and drink. - The main buffet wasn't the best food, depending on the special they have for the dinner. We would often find ourselves heading to a second dinner at the restaurants. We often ate lunch off the resort as well. - Wish there was a wider variety of alcoholic drinks they had on the menu - the wifi was pretty spotty and even went out completely for probably 12 hours one day - Hotel location was a bit far from downtown and especially from the marina so think about it if you're planning a number of excursions - we didn't get a tour or any hotel-specific information which we thought was odd and as the week went on we definitely would have liked more information sooner - no shuttle service Better parts: - The room was wonderful and the bathroom had a large shower - the laundry service was great and even took our soaking wet runners after we completely submerged them on an excursion - the breakfast was great and the service team in the buffet was amazing - The coffee bar was great - The staff really tried their best to make us happy even with the language barrier - AC unit was powerful but not very quiet - took a few days to learn what temperature to keep it at so the AC wasn't running the whole time. Impeccable

The hotel was very clean, no room had a bad view, the food was excellent and the staff are amazing.. The ocean on this side of Puerto vallarta was beautiful and emerald. Israel helps out at the front and was able to assist in making our anniversary and my birthday very special.
