Хорошое питание и отдых с детьми

Наш отпуск попал на конец июня. Отдыхали вчетвером. Администрация отеля поместила нас в номера, которые находились в 20-ти метрах друг от друга. При регистрации обязали оплатить сбор "карточка клиента" в размере 94 евро на двоих при том что на booking ни слова об этом не было сказано. Покупка данной карточки обязательна. На территории отеля есть бассейн. Купаться в бассейне можно только в шапочках ( стоимость одной 3 евро). В одном из наших номеров не работал кондиционер и холодильник. По нашей просьбе кондиционер отремонтировали. Каждый вечер на территории отеля устраивают развлекательную программу как для детей, так и для взрослых. Поэтому до 00:00 играет громко музыка. В наш пакет был включён завтрак и ужин. Завтрак- фуршетного типа. Ужин- закуска, первое и второе блюдо, десерт. Официанты очень внимательны. Wifi- не очень, только в центральной части отеля. Один раз в сутки необходимо на рецепции брать новые логин и пароль. Отель предлагает отдыхать на пляже Sunrise (15 евро, обед включён). Обед у них ужасный (антисанитария). На советуем этот пляж. Очень приятный отель

Довольно большой отель. сразу нас встретил улыбчивый персонал и были такими все время нашего пребывания, даже стали почти родными. Только проблемой может оказаться незнание итальянского, много кто из персонала не говорит на английском, но все равно пытаются как то объяснить(на ресепшене вроде все попадались англоговорящие). Возле бассейна открывается прекрасный вид и вообще само место, где бассеин выглядит просто шикарно! В номерах чисто, убирают каждый день. Но лично для меня было проблемой отсутствие окон(есть только одна большая входная стеклянная дверь со ставнями, которая заменяет окно), в комнате постоянно был полумрак, а я люблю, когда много света. Вай фай не работал в номерах, только в лобби, возле бассейна, в ресторане. Кормили отлично, порции большие, все вкусно! Not what I expected

Stayed here for six days in August of 2019. I highly recommend you are able speak and understand Italian to be able to communicate with the staff. Thank goodness my husband speaks fluent Italian because my Italian was not helping me. lol. The parking attendant was beyond rude. It is an extremely long walk rolling luggage on uneven pavement with a lot of stairs from the parking lot to the lobby, and then back to your villa. Hold off on bringing your luggage until you know where your room will be located. The lobby, restaurants, pool, and main areas were nice and seemed clean. However don't let that fool you, the rooms are very old, very dated decor, and tiny. The terrace or patio is a good size. Our room was not very clean at all. The rooms have a A/C unit in one window in the main room. The air doesn't make it into the bedroom. The window was broke and would not seal or stay 100% closed which made it miserable to sleep in the heat. You are required to wear an ugly swimmers cap in the swimming pool. Even bald men have to wear them. However, an extremely hairy chest and body was acceptable. Does not make any sense at all. They don't offer pool towels willingly and when you ask for towels the staff seemed very annoyed. Although I like the area and the proximity to our other activities/destinations, I would not stay there again. Stayed here for six days in August of 2019. Worse ever!

A beautiful evening

A very nice place for couples or families. Cocktails are very good. I loved the welcome at the hotel entrance and throughout my stay. This place is perfect for those who love the heat and the sea: everything is less than 1 km away. A very nice place for couples or families. Cocktails are very good. Vacationing in Santa Maria di Leuca

We were fortunate to find this little gem of resort along the southern tip of Italy, where the Adriatic and Ionian Sea meet. Messapia is situation on a ridge overlooking the ocean and the City below, although some city view is blocked by trees. The accommodations are modest, which were covered in the reviews. Traveling in Europe is different than America, from what I have seen on various reviews, so the rooms are not spacious. We had a one-bedroom which provided us with the comfort we needed. The bedding was decent, but could be upgraded. The shower is small, reminded us of a cruise ship shower, which are small but sufficient. The room was clean and everything was good working condition - fridge, AC, TV, etc. The pool was huge, clean and cool. Once in, it was fine, but felt cold at first. The staff was very accommodating, considering our Italian is virtually non-existent and their English was limited. We had a couple drinks from the pool bar, although service was limited, due to low seasonal demand. Overall, the resort is a good place to stay, maybe not 4-star by American standards, but considering other European properties and associated costs, the Messapia Hotel and Resort is worth considering if you plan a trip to a remote Italian town. Dreadful, No where near 4 star hotel

I usually don't write a review, but this time I must, so other people won't make a mistake to visit this hotel. This hotel is no where near 4 star hotel because of 5 reasons. 1) Use of pool is extra charge on the arrival.€6/day/person needed to be paid on top of what we paid to book the hotel. We were family of 4 staying 3 nights, so this costed additional €72. This information was not written specifically at the time of booking, but only mentioning extra charge for spa and wellness centre. We travel a lot and this was the first hotel asked extra money to use the pool. If we have known, we would have booked much better hotel with the cost. 2) Skyvillage team, who are there to "entertain" kids played music which was not kids friendly. (I.e., song with cursed words) My 6 year old child came to tell me with surprise that the song said f**k! 3) We had to come to order drinks and foods at pool. 4 star hotel should never allow that. Staffs should come and serve, not the other way around. 4) Room is furnished with very cheap stuff. Drawer's handle came out, bed is so uncomfortable that made my back hurt, shower cubicle is so small, and smell of sewage came from the shower. Ikea furniture is million times better than what they have. 5) Breakfast is nothing fancy. Frozen yoghurt is nothing but chilled yoghurt. Drinks are all from machine. No fresh drinks. In conclusion, this is not a hotel to relax. It will ruin your holiday. I usually don't write a review, but this time I must, so other people won't make a mistake to visit this hotel.
