Staffing, Rooms and Broken Promises BEWARE

We have traveled to the Grand Mayan, along with my sister at least 10-12 times. We have always had a fantastic room with fantastic service. Today, my sister and friends are on their long awaited trip and even got out of their COVID comfort zone to go. No one has been ANYWHERE for almost 2 years! Upon arrival to the Grand Mayan they noticed the staff had torn uniforms. The room is not an ocean view but a view of a jungle. As Grand Lux status they were promised Oceanview. The hotel is only about 10% full yet the hotel will not step up and recognize their Grand Lux status and move them to a decent room. Beware if you are going! The once outstanding service, lead by management is barely hanging on! I HOPE they see this and rectify the mistake immediately! Disappointed

I am a member of this time share. Main infinity pool is closed under construction and Brie I of ocean from remaining pool and restaurants is blocked by wooden wall. Would have gone somewhere else. No notice when booked. No mention by concierge. Only noticed when we walked outside. I am a member of this time share. If you want a place to relax, DO NOT COME HERE

I came here with 3 friends, all of us 55+. We hoped for a relaxing vacation, opting for the quieter San Jose Del Cabo instead of Cabo San Lucas for that reason. The facility and the pool are lovely and their COVID measures are excellent. But the music blaring at the pool is EXCRUCIATINGLY LOUD - so loud that even back in the room away from the speakers with doors/windows closed and A/C running, you can't hear anything but thumping disco/rap (with language too foul for younger ears) and it's hard to have a conversation, let alone read a book. I guess they are playing this for the employees, because it certainly isn't for the guests, all of whom I spoke with expressed displeasure about it. When I called the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do. Wow! BTW - I'm not an old crank. I love music and sometimes I love it loud - but this is not the environment for it. Don’t think about going to this resort.

This resort has been ruined by the OMNIA club which is part of the property now. The screaming DJ and loud obnoxious music is so loud all day Friday, Saturday and Sundays. It starts at 11 am and continues all day till 7 pm. Even with all the doors and windows shut you can’t talk in your room over the noise. It’s horrible. All the beach front, pool areas and restaurants are not enjoyable with this loud screaming and pounding all day. Never will return to this resort. Bring your migraine pills

Wow. What a major disappointment. The music was blasting rap music. Pretty disgusting for people that are looking to relax. Even down the beach at another resort you could hear it. NEVER STAY THERE unless you are 21 and want to party all the time. Shame on them. This is a resort not a night club Wow. What a major disappointment. The music was blasting rap music.
