Сразу не сообразил, когда бронировал, что отель работает по клубной системе со всеми вытекающими последствиями: уборка раз в неделю, ресторана нет. Кроме того, после прочтения описания отеля можно сделать ошибочный вывод, что отель расположен на первой линии. Это не так. Отель находится через дорогу от пляжа на второй линии. На пляже расположен, так называемый пляжный клуб отеля с небольшим бассейном, лежаками и помещением, где есть стол для настольного тенниса, телевизор и туалеты. В принципе, нормально, даже автобус шатл ходит от отеля до пляжного клуба. Пешком идти минут 5-10. Корпуса, номера и территория отеля находятся в отличном состоянии, все как надо. На территории есть два бассейна, один с баром, но для такого большого отеля они явно маловаты. У корпусов на лужайках есть грили на угле. На кухне в номере нет плиты, для нас это был серьезный минус. Диван в разложенном состоянии не удобен. И конечно напольный кондиционер не добавляет комфорта. Рядом с отелем вертолетная площадка и аэропорт. Целый день слышен шум взлетающих и садящихся вертолетов. Нас это не раздражало, но надо иметь это ввиду. Все было бы в целом хорошо и даже отлично, НО. На балкон выходит вентиляционное отверстие системы кондиционирования общих помещений. Представьте себе, вы сидите на балконе и наслаждаетесь вечерней прохладой, и вдруг вам в спину начинает бить струя горячего воздуха! Все впечатление от отеля насмарку, хотя повторюсь, номера прекрасно оборудованы и находятся в прекрасном состоянии. great road trip

I stayed a whole week at the resort, found it clean, well organized. Easy access to the beach, pools were well kept and the location of the resort was great. So much to do in South Beach. State Parks, Gardens, Charleston only 2 hrs away. Drove thru North Myrtle Beach on my way south, and I'm glad I didn't stay there. Yes, they did have Home Depot and Bed,Bath and Beyond, but I was on vacation, not on a shopping trip. I stayed a whole week at the resort, found it clean, well organized. 2 day vacation

Beautiful signature unit

We were lucky and managed to reserve a "signature" unit". They are much nicer than then regular units. The only problem we encountered was the gas fireplace. We could not turn it on, so they sent someone up to the room. Apparently the gas was turned off because of ventilation. It makes the room smell like gas even when it is not on. The worker did turn it on for us and we used it every night. But it is true, every time we left and came back into the room we could smell a gas odor. Other than that we had a nice stay. Oh and one other thing, it is close to the airport so you do hear the planes taking off and landing. We were lucky and managed to reserve a "signature" unit". Not really non-smoking

The resort overall is very nice, a bit dated, however the location is great and the beach house was convenient. The issue we had was smoking is allowed on balconies, but not on the grounds as the resort is smoke free. We tried to use our balcony for breakfast and early evening cocktails, but the room below us were smokers. Every time it seemed we stepped out they also came out to smoke. We had to go back inside as my wife gets migraines from 2nd hand smoke. We were very disappointed with this policy. We won't be back unfortunately. South Beach needs to update their policy and have smoking areas designated outdoors with no smoking on balconies as other resorts we regularly visit. Large comfortable suites for the whole family

We really enjoyed our stay, which we booked through RCI exchange. We got two 2-bedroom suites for our family and my cousin’s family. We were happy that our request was accommodated to place the two suites next to each other. We had building G rooms 401 and 402. They actually had an ocean view, especially 401 since it was on the corner. The suites had large screened in porches. The larger room had 1 king bed and the other bedroom had 1 queen bed. There were two bathrooms, a small washer and dryer, a full kitchen, and a living room with gas fireplace. The suite was huge and very comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable with soft sheets and the bathrooms had plenty of soft towels. Bath and Body Works toiletries were provided. Nice beach towels were provided in the room for the pool and beach. Take the towels from your room down to the pools. They won’t give them to you at the front desk. It was cold during our stay so we were very happy that there is an indoor pool and hot tub. The fire pits are great on cold days too. It’s a large and pretty resort with great amenities. Check in was smooth and check out was easy. They have a beachfront clubhouse to utilize when visiting the beach, which is just across the street. We utilized that and it was nice. Shuttles run between the resort and the beach club regularly. We liked the location, which is close to restaurants and shopping on Ocean Boulevard, Kings Hwy, and The Market Common. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to using more of the outdoor recreational amenities in better weather. It was too cold and rainy to do much outdoors like use the playground or splash cove play area or lazy river, which all looked awesome. We were grateful for the fireplace in the suite on the cold days and nights. There were a couple of things that weren’t perfect. The noise through the breezeway is very loud since the doors don’t seem sealed well. Also, the sofa beds were too dirty to use.
