Great place

Great facility, great location, plenty of family activities. The condo was beautifully located and well-furnished. The resort has golf courses and many very nice family activities. Grounds, Lake, Golf Courses just beautiful!

Although the grounds are lovely, beware that the units could use another updating. We also had WiFi issues, only working in bedrooms and not main level. Unless, your traveling with kids or friends and want the separation, I would ask for the 2 level vs. 3 levels, which we had. It’s a bit of a odd layout. Units were clean but not spotless. And Master bathroom shower is a tiny triangle. I’m small and could barely fit. There is a huge whirlpool bathtub next to it, but I don’t use tubs when traveling unless to shower. Luckily, we had the 2 bedroom, so the guest shower was very adequate, but not as convenient. A plus are the beds, linens and towels. They were Marriott quality. And the master bedroom walk-in closet is big enough to be another small room. Also, note that Registration offices are not located on the grounds. They are a bit up the road, so not real convenient if you have any issues. We did love having the beautiful lake and gorgeous golf courses right there. It was fall and the beauty of the area was very relaxing. However, to get to the towns were a bit longer drive then we expected, the towns of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Hendersonville and Asheville are between 30 mins. to an hour or so away. Lots of hiking trails, winery’s, apple orchards, restaurants are all located on these drives. We didn’t really mind, but if you don’t like long leisurely winding roads filled with scenery, then you either need to stay on the grounds or pick another location. Wonderful

We loved our unit. Two recliners was a bonus! Our neighbors were really close and you could hear talking, so we tried to keep the TV noise low. The unit was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were not really close to fast food, but the restaurants in the area were very good. We would stay here again. We loved our unit. Two recliners was a bonus! Outdated units

While our bottom floor unit was very clean, I can't recommend the property. We felt like we were in an outdated, basement apartment. The layout was weird. The kitchen had no windows and the couch was upstairs where you enter the unit. Also, we had to drive 5-10 minutes to the other property to see the lake (and that was more a view of the marina). It's over an hour to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, on very windy roads. If I were going back I would stay in Asheville and do a day trip to Chimney Rocks. Pretty location.

No fall colors the 9–16 of October. We did the Lake Lure Boat ride, drove to Pearson’s Falls, the Tryon Equestrian Center,Chimney Rock. Did not eat at the resort restaurant. Beautiful golf course. Liked everything about the unit except the downstairs bedroom felt damp all week. Too warm for heat and the AC didn’t change anything. No fall colors the 9–16 of October.
