Pictures are Misconceiving

Please know you will NOT see the ocean from this building. They have a Shore Crest 1 building that is on the ocean, Shore Crest Vacation Villas II is across the street and your view is the city. I was very disappointed. I told this to the check in clerk and he did not care. I told him that the pictures showed across from beach, not across from a building. They said it was an RCI issue. I went ahead and went to my room and that was when I realized the only view was the city. I called RCI and they said that Bluegreen provided the pictures. SO THE PICTURES ARE NOT WHERE YOU WILL BE! Fortunately RCI agreed to move me and I went to an oceanfront resort. The resort did not care that I was moving. Please know you will NOT see the ocean from this building. Don't waste your time

I arrived on Saturday afternoon, checked it and went to dinner. I had my daugher and grandkids with me.The first thing I noticed was the strong smell of bleach. It gave me a terrible headache. The bathroom had used toilet paper behind the door. There was mold and dirt in the corners of the bathroom. Not to mention that went you walked to the balcony the floor sloped down. My daughter opened the bedroom closet and said this smells lilke cigarette smoke. I smelled it and said no that is mold. There it was in the carpet and the baseboards. I went to use the room phone to call the lobby and that did not work. Instead I used my cell phone. The lady I spoke with said I will call you back I have to find you a room. She did call back and I had to walk across the street to that lobby to get the key card. She did say I am sorry but nothing extra was offered for the trouble for moving luggage and sleeping children to another room . This room was cleaner but the smell of bleach was very prominent. The next morning we all woke up with terrible headaches. I stayed only one night and checked out . It was not worth having a headache from bleach the entire stay. I did speak with another guest on the elevator and he said he room had the strong smell of bleach also. I have traveled a lot over the last 8 months and this was the only place that I stayed that had a strong bleach smell. I don't need the excuse that it is because of Covid. Disappointing

We are on our 2nd full day here at Shore Crest in North Myrtle Beach, and it has been disappointing and frustrating. We were awakened our first day by alarm clocks going off at 6:00 in both bedrooms. There is no privacy for bathing/showering in the master bedroom, no towel rack at the sink -- you have to walk past the clothes closet to get to a towel. Limited outlets in the bedroom -- I had to rearrange things to set up my cpap machine. The kitchen is sparsely stocked with coffee cups -- 4 cups in a 2 bedroom condo, limited cooking utensils - no measuring cups/spoons, no casserole dishes, limited serving/mixing bowls, the cabinets are hard for a short person to reach, no dish detergent, dishwasher does not clean the dishes. An outlet in the living room will not hold the cords -- they just drop out when you try to put them in, the phone battery is dead, and there are 2 remotes for 3 tvs. In the bathroom, the fan is connected to the light switch and the longer it is on, the louder it gets. The water pipes vibrate and hum loudly. The parking garage is very tight. It takes several back-forth movements to get in and out of the parking spaces. I'm sure there are other surprises waiting on me, but I thought this would give an idea of what to expect here. Love Shorecrest I

This was our second visit to Shorecrest I. The staff is wonderful. We called prior to our arrival (about a week beforehand) and requested a higher floor. We arrived to the resort early (flew in night before) and was able to pre check in & they would text me when room was ready. Around 2 o’clock room was ready and we were on the 9th floor This was our second visit to Shorecrest I. The staff is wonderful. Shorecrest Ii

Have stayed here before, not in this particular unit. It was freshly painted, had a new sofa, shower insert, but obviously some furniture had been from left over stock. No comfortable chair in living area.. The staff were wonderful, and came within a few minutes to fix issues with the furnace . No hot water one day but was due to faulty boiler which was corrected quickly. Love the area, very near Barefoot Landing. Lots of restaurants nearby. Can’t say enough about how courteous , friendly and helpful ALL the staff were. Have stayed here before, not in this particular unit.
