Nice resort on the ocean

Stayed at the Ocean Pines resort on our visit To the outer banks. Upon check in was greeted by 2 friendly ladies you were very helpful. The resort is located on the ocean and the sound across the road. Our unit was on the ocean.. Upon entering the unit it was clean spacious And adequate for our needs. The resort is not the newest one in the area but it appeared to be well maintained and and functional. It is a bit dated but Appeared to be in reasonable shape for the area. As this is a timeshare I'm sure it sees a tremendous amount of traffic so you can't expect it to be perfect.Everything in the unit was functional there were no bugs the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was large large enough to accommodate the 4 of us. I would not hesitate to stay at Ocean Pines again. They have a nice pool hot tub tether ball shuffle board tennis courts and access access to the ocean beach. DO NOT STAY HERE!

At check-in we were notified there were only 2 employees in the entire “resort”. Our condo was beyond disgusting! Mold in the vents, bed linens did not look clean, not enough towels/washcloths provided, bugs, spiders, spiderwebs all throughout the place, broken fixtures, dishwasher didn’t work properly, the list goes on! Our timeshare’s “solution” to our complaints - check out! Since taking a vacation requires planning & MONEY, we felt stuck - either suck it up or go home and have no vacation. We purchased sheets, quilts, towels, washcloths and cleaning supplies - and stayed out as much as possible. VERY disappointing vacation!!! Great Place

This place was very nice to go too. Enjoyed it very much and I hope to return. Check in was quick, Lots of Places to go and eat, shop, Did not have to go far to ride on the beach also. The view was nice from our unit. This place was very nice to go too. Enjoyed it very much and I hope to return. Dirty and staff not accommodating

My father booked a room and we found that the bed had several roaches and bugs embedded in the mattress. Also there were so many spider webbs and ants that it was disturbing. A visitor drove 1 1/2 hours to visit and once the cleanliness was noticed, visitor turned around and left in the middle of the night. It was that bad. My father talked to office the next day letting them know about the mattress and only thing they said was they can replace sheets. That wasn't good enough and it didn't even get done. They didn't even offer him to move to another room.. He asked for for some type compensation due to him having been inconvenienced(our company gas, and time) and associate told him that they do not give compensation for issues. The room was never used. They only reason my 81 year of father didn't check out is because he's on dialysis and you have to book it well in advance if you are traveling. It would've been to expensive to check in somewhere else close to there last minute. This was very upsetting to me to hear that my father was being treated this way and not being treated like a valued guest. This company will never see our business again. PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!!

Please don't stay here!!! This is the worst place I stayed in my 47 years of life on this earth (and I lived in the Thirld World for half of it). The 'Resort' is infested with bugs. Nicely sized spiders are everywhere, and spider webs become your second skin. I also found roaches and ants. But the spiders were EVERYWHERE. There was insect and bird poop on all windows, doors, and the back deck (and its furniture). We had to endure that for the length of our stay (even when we request for everything to be properly cleaned). The apartment size is adequate, but everything is in a state of disrepair, and 'tired' doesn't even begin to cover it. Also, because we were Booking.com guest, we were sent to 1 of 4 units they have outside the resort. That meant the beach-side resort was actually one very busy road away (and then several blocks away while inside the property). There isn't even a cross walk. So if you're planning on your kids being able to enjoy some freedom, forget it. The staff wasn't at all helpful. To my request to clean the spiders and the spider webs, they sent a person with a duster. I had to ask for someone to come to vacuum all the dust and insects that have fallen to the floor. I had to beg for some insecticide to be applied. Even after that, insect were everywhere, and excrement was left on doors, windows, and other surfaces. The deck came equipped with a table and 4 chairs. I told staff it needed to be clean. All I got was a dusting....they didn't even pick up the chairs that were on the floor when I got there. The indoor pool was equally disgusting. Full of bugs, Absolutely unusable. The BBQ is a joke. Yes, of couse, busgs and poop again, but also rust...and really not even felt like investigating further. We left before we were supposed to. No need to subject ourselves to this torture. Please don't stay here!!!
