Out in the heat

My wife booked her, my teenage daughter, and her mother a mini vacation through hotels.com for this property. Check in was at 3:00 according to hotels.com and the internet / website. They arrive at the property sure after 3:00 to find out the office closed at 3:00, due to staffing issues. Now, the property will not honor their reservation! So my wife and child and her elderly mother, are sitting in the parking lot hours from home wondering what to do! Way to drop the ball! The unit is newly remodeled and very nice and clean. Unfortunately older couple who live below are old and bitter people that aren't happy that the unit above them is a rental and will do everything to make your stay miserable. I was approached by the old lady the very next morning after arriving as my husband and I were walking down steps to our car. She comes with her hand on hip and said next time your little girl drops her fruit looks feel free to come below and pick them up.I said for one I dont have a little girl and you can pick them up yourself. She came at me like she was going to hit me. I told her if she didn't leave I was going to call the law for harassment. She and her husband got in there car as my husband and I were getting stuff out of car for beach and was driving back and forth with an iPad help up to window like they were filming us. I dont have this kind of drama at home and I surely don't want this type of drama on vacation. We were told by others these old facts cause a lot of problems. They complain about water coming through cracks from upper deck from tenants deck above them. Lord have mercy God forbid when it rains. They lie to the homeowner association and make up stuff because they think by lying and making up ridiculous stuff eventually will lead to units not being rented out which is there goal. The lady is crazy I tell you. She really needs to be committed. I honestly would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for having to deal with the luny people below that apparently have no life but to taunt the people who come there on vacation. Might not want to stay here

This timeshare resort has no elevators .2nd floor guests must drag their luggage up 2 flights of wooden stairs. We had a lovely room next to pool area. the big problem was people used the pool until midnight and even one night until 1:30 AM The noise of people laughing really carries over water. Also, our last night some people decided to run around about 4 AM . They kept it up until after 5 AM .Needless to say, we drove home very tired and in need of a rest from our stay. Surprisingly great and affordable

We booked through Agoda and I was panicked the week before because I had no idea our room number or the normal info we usually get through VRBO. But this was great - we were in Bldg G 203, which overlooks the pool and has ocean view. After talking with other visitors, apparently the 1 BRs are quite large. This was larger than some condos we've rented in HHI, so we were pleasantly pleased. Washer/dryer, decent kitchen that looks onto the balcony and ocean. Fold out couch, decent queen bed and jacuzzi tub. Bathroom was on the small side and awkward for 2 people to move around together. Shower was not very clean in the corners and fairly narrow. We did like there was a half bath next to the kitchen. It was odd, though, that the bedroom also had a balcony that joined with the next condo. We didn't use it because it felt unsafe. Stairs were not terrible. Pools were good, had several tables with umbrellas and each seem to have gas grills (we saw people using and having trouble with 2 of them). There is a quite a lot of decking on the paths through the resort and there are several gates. The path through the dunes can get very hot on your feet - make sure to wear sandals; and the path from the last dune to the beach can be a bit steep. There was a LOT of seaweed on the beach, which was a new experience for us. Lastly, we dealt with Mary Robinson in the office. She was amazing and even allowed us to extend our stay a day when our plans changed. If we go back to this area, we will stay here again and she will be our booking agent. Great location

This is a "good weather " resort...if you don't need to stay indoors, this resort is for you..our unit was direct waterfront ...Unit 201B...the unit was clean...spacious....view was best thing about unit...old inexpensive uncomfortable furnishings..needs complete update..if you like to cook, bring your own pans and knives, because the ones in unit are horrible...if you want a comfortable chair, bring one..all windows were opaque with dirt...paint coming off walls and ceiling..old tiny tv in guest bedroom..bathrooms had bugs..easy check in and check out..3 pools and 1 hot tub all clean and in good condition..grill available for guests..easy access to beach..outside areas well maintained...no elevators..good resort for young adults and young families...I prefer better furnishings..
