Older resort but beautiful

All great except for location of our room 1108- right beside hydraulic room for elevator that sounded like small plane taking off every time elevator used, starting at 5:30am in the morning. Apparently no other room to move us to. Can’t be first time someone complained about this! SUCH a nice resort, perfect location

This resort has amazing views, three really nice pools, and great guest rooms. We also enjoyed playing mini golf one night and found the concierge beach chair/cooler rentals cheaper than the other local options. We were also able to request a coffee grinder which is in my mind top notch service. This resort has amazing views, three really nice pools, and great guest rooms. The Best of Kawai’i in Poipu

Great location on the south shore, across the street from one of Kawai’i’s best beaches for swimming, snorkeling and surfing. Beautifully appointed and well-maintained rooms and grounds. This was by far the best location for our Kauai vacation. I only wish they had air conditioning in at least the bedroom. It was within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. And across the street from the ocean and the beach house restaurant This was by far the best location for our Kauai vacation. I only wish they had air conditioning in at least the bedroom. Disappointed and not sure we would come back!

We booked this resort almost a year ago through RCI. We have been coming to this resort for ten years. We arrived late after a long flight only to be given a unit in the LIK A Lani building or 4th building on the resort. We were informed that this was just temporary for the night and would be given our room in the morning. Once we checked in the next morning we were informed this was our unit for our stay. The unit was clean but with no view at all, no lounge chairs on the lanai and table not big enough to sit outside to eat. There are only 4 units in this two storey building. The cleaning staff was surprised there was anyone in the building. We have always be assigned units in the Banyan or Coral area and very surprised to be placed in a unit not on par with the rest of the resort and didn’t feel we were part of the resort. The unit has no privacy and because there is no AC we needed to leave the windows open and anyone walking by can look into the unit. Also it is so close to the road that the noise is so loud you feel the vehicles are coming right through the unit and wakes you up at night or early morning.
