Outdated and worn out

I really can't believe I paid $286 to spend a night at this place. Next time I'll do a little more research before booking a room on the Outer Cape. For the price paid I expected something way better that what I got. The entire place is borderline shabby and marginally maintained. Pool area is a joke with outdoor furniture that looks like it was purchased at yard sales. Room was not unclean by any means but I felt like I was staying in someone's basement. weekend getaway

We booked last-minute on booking.com. We scored a suite for only $65 exclusive of tax. Sadly, many of the amenities are closed (pool, hot tub, laundry), but we made the best of the situation. The hotel is about a 1/2 hour walk to the center of town. It’s a pleasant walk and the terrain is all flat. Our studio was comfortable and spacious. It included a kitchen with plates, cups and utensils. There’s a coffee machine and fridge. I agree with another reviewer the wifi was spotty - I could play YT videos, but it would take a moment for a page to load. The walls are thin, but our neighbors weren’t too loud. The staff were friendly, but we didn’t engage with them after checking in. Parking was plentiful. There aren’t any amenities in the immediate surroundings but things aren’t too far, especially with a vehicle. The beach is just a street over. Great fall stay

COVID stay so amenities (pool, laundry, hot tub) closed but the room was clean and fully functional (1BR). Wi-fi was a little iffy but was enough for my student to conduct remote learning. Plenty of close by walking trails - markets within 1 mile. A bike would be perfect! Immediately booked a second week the first few days were so good. Couldn’t even get a key

Don’t try to book a room here after 5 pm (when their office closes and there is no one on the property to help you). My boyfriend and I booked a room online and arrived around 6:15 but the office was locked. We called the emergency/late arrival number pinned on the door several times and someone on the other line kept immediately hanging up on us. There was another note on the door that said the keys are in the mailbox outside the front of the rooms. When we tried to get into our room there were no keys so we just were stuck there with no one answering us. They did not return my calls or booking.com’s attempts to contact them the entire night so we were forced to cancel. Huge waste of time. Location was ideal for limited social interaction.

The space is more than sufficient. Staff showed care and left me feeling as though I was at a second home. Other guest were diverse and pleasent everyone courteous with distancing choices. For my purposes convenience to Dunes Shack Trail made the experience one I will always cherish. This world is a beautiful place and this location should not be missed. The space is more than sufficient. Staff showed care and left me feeling as though I was at a second home. Other guest were diverse and pleasent everyone courteous with distancing choices.
