Northern Georgia
Lovely location. Comfortable beds. Needs a few updates, but was clean and welcoming. Plenty of space. A beautiful gated community. Easy to get to local points of interest. Would recommend traveling there in the fall, beautiful trees everywhere. Lovely location. Comfortable beds. Needs a few updates, but was clean and welcoming. Plenty of space. Our Happy Place
We have been coming to Petit Crest over 30 years. We Own a week but we come several rimes during the year for long weekends. Our children and grandchildren come as well and still love it. The Office staff are friendly and welcoming and have become like friends. There is plenty to do in the park and the surrounding areas. I’ve read some reviews and I have to say we are always entertained as well as the kids We bring board games, go to the park with frisbees, balls, play at the playground, explore all the trails. We just started bringing our bikes. We catch fireflies, count deer we see and look for bears. Boating, fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, golfing etc… This past summer my granddaughter met a friend both 6 and they met every night to catch fireflies and have a standing date for next summer. We’ve made so many memories over the years. We have had 4 generations of family there. It’s our Home away from Home, There are many places to go for children that aren’t far away, butterfly garden, Gibbs Garden, cabbage patch hospital, cool river rafting in Helen, gold mining in dahlonega. As for unit 610, we love that unit it’s steep but we are in our 60”s and just walk up together, that unit is where we first saw a family of bears. Our regular Unit is 605, but we have stayed in many of the Units, they are all the same. They are working on upgrading the furniture but it is fine. For the mention of the coffee table, the table in the corner of the living room used to be the coffee table when we first started going there. If we want to play games in the living room instead of the dining room we move the corner table then put it back before we leave. We are on our way home now from another weekend there and our granddaughter did not want to leave. We will be back next month Making Memories at Petit Crest in Big Canoe We have been coming to Petit Crest over 30 years. We Own a week but we come several rimes during the year for long weekends. Need a little updating
Love the area. Love the entire area of Big Canoe. These properties need a little updating. But you won't be sorry with choosing Big Canoe to spend some time at. Lot of things to do in the area. Very large resort with lots of different accommodations. Love the area. Love the entire area of Big Canoe. These properties need a little updating. Great view!
I totally enjoyed the amazing view and mountain location at Petit Crest @ Big Canoe. The villa was nestled amongst the trees which provided a lovely view of nature and up-close encounters with the tree tops. We felt as if we were living in a tree house, quiet, private and very serene. I was very surprised by the remote location and the mountainous terrain and roads to get to the resort, slow down on the mountain roads!! I would caution all who have never visited before to heed the advice of staff seriously and do not plan to travel at night on your first trip, you will get lost and become anxious and frustrated. I also had a GA road map, as my GPS shut down completely, totally useless. Also consider some cell phone service being limited or non-existent. I had no cell service at all. I had to drive down the mountain and travel approx 10 miles to get a cell signal..my provider was T-mobile, horrible service, however Verizon seemed to have worked well. Thank goodness for landline phones in the villa and terrific WIFIon property was a gift to connect with the outside world in email. Over-all I enjoyed my stay and can't wait to return in the Fall to see the change of leaves. I totally enjoyed the amazing view and mountain location at Petit Crest @ Big Canoe. permanent vacation spot
The units are simple and clean. The scenery is magnificent and you feel the "solitude" of a mountain retreat. The facilities are well maintained and the variety of activities suits everyone in a group. The balconies and golf courses and pontoons boats are top quality. There are many day trip opportunities of little towns, and wineries. We did rent a larger house in Big Canoe for a family reunion which was an absolute hit. The villas sleep 6 at best.
