Great place for a peaceful vacation and to take advantage of all the area has to offer.

We spent the week of Thanksgiving here and it was wonderful. Clean, well-stocked cabin, staff super helpful, I'd highly recommend! The restaurant onsite is fantastic. It is somewhat remote, so make a plan prior to your stay what you want to do if you're staying for any length of time. Payson is about 25 minutes up the road and has grocery stores and restaurants. Check out what to do in the area and check on hours etc prior to visiting. We didn't take advantage of the pool and hot tub, but everything on the grounds looked extremely well cared for. Amazing stay

First of all I want to say how amazing LeAnne was to work with in upper management! I had a past situation that she took care of and corrected with a great attitude and quick response-which seems rare nowadays. Our family had a great stay at Kohl's Ranch. It's in a beautiful setting nestled on the creek. We also had a great meal on the property at Zane Grey's BBQ. I would highly recommend it. Great service,food was hot,fresh and delicious! Beautiful area

Fabulous location in the mountains. Near a stream with charming cabins and hotel style rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. This is our first visit to Payson and will not be the last. Onsite restaurant had good food and was reminiscent of being in northern Wisconsin which was home. Fabulous location in the mountains. Near a stream with charming cabins and hotel style rooms. Great place

AC has to run constantly... refrigerator a mini unpractical for storing fish that we caught. No pantry area or cabinets to store food.. it was a mini kitchen ok for a couple days but difficult for a weeks stay when nearest grocery store.20miles away. Patio furniture was old and rotten. Location good for area lakes. Parking for UTV was a plus. Would stay here again if we could get bigger unit. Don't go for the wifi, go for the relaxation...

It's been years since I stayed there but they've done a great job at keeping up...Stayed in a studio, I'd recommend not doing that unless you want to hang next to the pool, try and get a 1 bedroom by the creek, big deck etc. As for the room, it was almost great, bed and pillows were awesome, full size fridge and freezer a bonus, no real need for the dishwasher but meh. The one thing I'd advise is not expecting to be able to get any work done via wifi at this place. They're connectivity is severely lacking pretty much everywhere on the grounds and they're aware. I know it sounds petty but if you're trying to look at anything you'll need wifi as most cell carriers don't ping that area. Also the restaurant closes at 8pm and you're pretty much sol if you don't want to drive into Payson after 8pm. You can also bring your own food, cooktop, cookware, bbq grills etc. Overall it's a great place for a great price.
