Excellent place to stay for your vacation.
Very nice unit. Very spacious, clean and welcoming. Great view. Loved setting on the deck and seeing the beautiful Black Hills and ski slope. Check in was very easy. Management team was great. Would highly recommend. Very nice unit. Very spacious, clean and welcoming. Great view. Loved setting on the deck and seeing the beautiful Black Hills and ski slope. Check in was very easy. Good location, few amenities
Unit was small and had several deficiencies (lack of end table, small kitchen sink, no heat; location was good, and that was mainly why we picked this resort. Staff was friendly enough, but would not replace coffee in the room (only two days furnished), even though we were scheduled to stay 5 nights. A quiet retreat
This resort is at an elevation over 6,000 feet and several miles outside of Lead. It consists of 2 buildings, the Summit View which is at the top of the hill and the Vista Peak which sits lower on the hill. We were in the Summit View. Our unit had been remodeled and was quite nice. The beds however were older and too soft and lumpy for us. The bedrooms are very small and could not accommodate a dresser. There are 2 nightstands with drawers, one is in the closet. There are no blackout curtains, only wide slat blinds which let in light from the parking lot all night and woke us up at daybreak. The bathroom had only one sink so only one person could get ready at a time. The rest of the condo was nice. The kitchen was spacious and it had a very good dishwasher. Lots of storage space. There was a wood burning fireplace that we did not use. We got good TV reception. I didn't use the Wi-Fi. There was a small deck off the Livingroom that had a great view of the ski area across the street and the valley below. The swimming pool was closed for repair the first few days we were there, but eventually got fixed. The pool in this building looks more like an oversized hot tub. It is round and you can't really do any laps. The units do not have washers or dryers in the Summit View. There are 2 of each next to the pool area that you can use free of charge. As the Summit View rooms all enter from the outside, you need to go outside to access the laundry room. And down a lot of stairs. The Vista Peak building does have a W/D in their units and all have an inside entrance more like a hotel. I don't think you get a choice of which building you get. All of the 2 bedroom units in the Summit View are down a flight from the parking lot and the bedroom windows all face a below parking lot "hole". The 3 BR are all on the upper level. Overall, we enjoyed it. It was quiet. Not many activities and kids may get bored. There was a small area outside the office that was a combination basketball/ tennis court. I didn't see any other activities other than the pool. We enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkeys. Since you are probably about 5 miles from Lead, get your groceries on the way. There is 1 grocery store called the DakotaMart. Lots of choices, but more expensive. We got ours in Spearfish and just supplemented at this store. We didn't go out to eat in Lead so I can't recommend a restaurant. This resort is at an elevation over 6,000 feet and several miles outside of Lead. Barefoot resort
Quiet, well organized, feel like home. If you don't mind driving a little everyday you will get most of attractions in Lead, Rapid City, Wall, Custer, Sturgis, Deadwood. We stay one week here and we didn't miss any place. Quiet, well organized, feel like home. Great location, comfy beds. Great check in
Saw this place on my time share exchange but it was not available  through my exchange  for the dates needed.  so i booked 2 days to check it out. Booked the Alpine Villa which is a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathrooms unit.   one bedroom with a king bed/ bathroom, the 2nd bedroom has 2 full beds,  a full sized kitchen, nice big living room area with a very comfortable  couch bed. A washer and dryer  but warning our washer didn't pull water well so had to spin it twice and the dryer took about 3 time to dry anything. Check in was great LeAnn was super welcoming and helpful.  the grocery store Lynn Dakotamart is so close in town 10 mins drive about 5 miles. Getting to check in area is scary it is very steep and the driveway is very unsafe with blind spots. the alpine villa  driveway is steep as well. Once we checked in we got to our building it looks kind of old outside most furniture  is worn and the grill we had was very used and gross. But we did have a hot tub close to our unit which was fantastic. Getting into our unit was hard the keys seemed to get stuck  a lot in the door. But once inside wow! the unit was decorated with quotes and ski theme. the towels in the bathroom were the nicest towels i have used at any resort and loved that they were not white.  One of the rooms had games in a drawer which was super cool so we played uno one night. The one negative  was the pool is in the Vista peak building and the pool is very small. But overall we loved this place the beds comfortable, The views wow, leann check in super nice, and just a cozy place. Would definitely  stay here again.
