Opposite of Paradise

We arrived at an empty resort during stated open hours on a Friday. Office closed all weekend without any staff contacting us, and no other guests. Picked up keys in a mailbox, entered a run-down and grubby unit that badly needs maintenance. No internet, cold showers, and no one to check us out Monday morning when we cut our vacation short. Impressed!

The Manager, Karen, was a dream to work with. I had several concerns prior to our arrival (we were arriving just as a hurricane was set to hit). She made sure our room was ready for early check in. Everything was in excellent condition. We never expected to have our own private sauna, so that was a added bonus. I would stay here again. The Manager, Karen, was a dream to work with. Great location could be wonderful but it really misses

We won't be returning here. Nice sized 2 bedroom unit but sadly tired and unmaintained. It's always about the plumbing, but this time it was also about the wifi. Because we were the last unit at the end there was virtually no wifi. We won't be returning here. Nice sized 2 bedroom unit but sadly tired and unmaintained. Outdated and not kept up very well

The patio door in our unit when closed still had a 2 inch gap at the top of the door for rain, bugs to get in. The units need to be remodeled, the location is out in the countryside, but the grounds were to wet to walk on so we were unable to walk in the grass. A peaceful place from New Orleans

This resort is an hour from New Orleans. However, it is quiet and in a peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans. Driving is easy and Google Maps found the resort without an issue. the units are large, inviting, and clean. The only issue was the wifi is spotty. However that is expected when you are in the woods.
