Luggage was stolen from our car

Just a quick but very important suggestion to tourists/visitors that are contemplating staying at the Coral Suites Hotel in Chichiriviche: Do not leave ANYTHING in your vehicle. Remove EVERYTHING upon your arrival before checking in, even if the Hotel staff tells you that they would like to show you your room and that you can come back to collect your luggage later. Also, please be aware that even though the Surveillance Cameras are operational, for whatever reason no video is recorded at any time during the day. Therefore, if you happen to be a victim of any kind of theft, do not expect Hotel "Security" staff to provide the law enforcement agents with any kind of recorded footage, nor will you receive any support from the rest of the Hotel employees, including the Manager. The reason for this negative but very sincere review is that all our luggage was stolen from our vehicle 10 minutes after we arrived at the Hotel, while we were being shown our room. It must be noted that the car was parked in the Hotel parking lot and that we received no support at all from the staff. Last but not least, it's impossible to post a zero-star review, which is the reason why I am giving the Coral Suites one star. Ok hotel

We stayed here during an economic crisis, so the food situation was difficult and the hotel can't be faulted for that. Our room didn't include meals, but we ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant once. Not only was it very unappetizing, but it also cost an exorbitant amount. We didn't swim in the pool since the water looked dirty with stuff floating around in it. The staff were friendly which was nice. Asking for a wifi password was time-consuming as they had to create a special account. The room was spacious and clean. Bright light and a kitchen in the room were pluses. No wifi in the rooms, though. AC in the rooms, but power goes out for several hours each day. Food Poisoning and attempted burglary!!

This hotel is very far from being a respectable hotel. We stayed 4 people for 1 night and got one single room for 4 people, but only 1 key. During the night (at around 4.30) somebody opened the locked door to our room, but as we started talking they quickly closed the door and disappeared. This hotel has installed an automatic light switch that turns on the light right by the door whenever somebody opens the hotel room door. I never saw this in any hotel before, but I think they have done this because they have had so many burglaries during nights when people normally sleep. However, this makes it very ease to see if someone tries to sneak into your room in the middle of the night (if you are awake at the time). In the morning at around 8, someone knocked on the door. We think they wanted to see if they could sneak into our room as we had breaksfast. No hotel cleans the room this early on the day of departure so they had no reason to knock on our door at 8 in the morning. Two of us got food poisoning (Cryptosporidium) from the hotel breakfast. We are absolutely sure that this hotel was the source of the sickness. The standard of the rooms would be ok if they advertised themselves as a 2 star hotel. The exterior and inner pool area looks quite nice I think. But we only saw it from a distance so we have no opinion about that. This hotel is very far from being a respectable hotel.
