Paradise for coworking

My 2-month stint in Selina Geres fulfilled all my fantasies and more... Nestled in nature, I could wake up and be swimming in the river within minutes, freed from the sound of cars and the fumes of pollution. Staff were incredible - thank you Duarte, Melanie, Patrycja and all my friends - coworking space is great, rooms are clean, fantastic access to nature. Ticked all the boxes! If you are visiting, I would in particular recommend having a massage with Anna, who is a very special massage therapist. Tip: ask for a cupping massage! Anna is a genius with aromatherapy and a lovely person too. The wellness room is also top-rate, with lots of great activities going on. Thank you so much to everyone at Selina Geres for giving me such an incredible stay. Definitely one of the happiest periods in my life! Lacking a bit in customer care but great terrace and meditation programming

Stayed here for three nights (Monday through Thursday mid May 2021), enjoyed the elevated terrace and the meditation classes. Warm water for showering was intermittent on the first night with a leaky nozzle that sprayed everywhere. There was an electrical outage on my second night that lasted hours, coupled with cold showers, and the concierge courteously upgraded my room to the Standard room. Apparently the upgrade was just for one night, as the following day Selina had me go back to my dorm even though they weren't expecting guests and it meant they'd change beds twice rather than let me stay my last night in the Standard and just change the sheets once. It was essentially empty here at the end of May (year 2 of Covid pandemic) and yet prices were imo quite steep at 36 euros a night for a 6 person dorm. Valley was noisy at times with loggers on the opposite face, or leaf blowers on the near face of the mountain, the "beach" on the river had quite a bit of debris washed up and the sight of the ugly hydro-electric dam on the opposite side of the mountain mars the otherwise stunning view. With the exception of the concierge who gave me an upgrade and the excellent wait staff, there was a tense quiet demeanor to the concierge staff, which made it uncomfortable being around them in their off hours. Definitely not a joyous place, but maybe they were having a bad day. Gerês is stunning, so will have to come back to the area but will probably stay at a "pousada" to support the local bnb industry and hopefully feel a bit more warmth. Murilo’s Yoga Class

We stayed in the tents - Glamping. For those afraid of insects it’s not a good idea. But we overcome that issue. Before making the reservation we called asking if the swimming pool was usable and they said yes. When we arrived the pool was very dirty and not in good conditions to use. However in the next day it was clean and serviceable. Breakfast was good and good service. We had a yoga session on Saturday morning with yoga instructor Murilo... this is a MUST!!! It was amazing.. so intense and profound. Murilo really helps you with your emotions and has an amazing energy!! One of the best things of our weekend, Murilo’s yoga class!! Amazing stay

I went for 5 days with my girlfriend. For a very cheap amount, we were given a huge flat, with balcony and a view to the river. The place is amazingly immersed in the nature and you will find an extraordinary environment for chilling and eliminating all your stress. The staff was super friendly and professional. We had lots of activities with them, among which karaoke, horse riding and table games. They even cooked for all the hosts one evening and we had a great dinner altogether. Amazing!

Thank you Selina team for my wonderful stay. Selina Gerês is a magical place immersed in the nature of Gerês with a feeling of youth, relaxation and good vibes. The ambience is incredible and the level of comfort of common spaces and rooms is super. To me, the yoga and meditation experiences were quite honestly the highlights of my stay. The physical room is magical, one of the best I have seen, and the classes and sessions by Murilo, the yoga teacher, were top-class. I want to provide a big shout out to Murilo who went well beyond his duties of a yoga teacher in making my and other guests' experiences in selina memorable: Murilo created an informal group of likeminded guests and facilitated great days discovering the wonders of Gerês. He made sure to act as the main host and the glue amongst the guests and created a feeling of hospitality and of great companionship. I will definitely keep these days in Selina Gerês in a very special place of my memories. Thank you! Thank you Selina team for my wonderful stay.
