Hope Barton — это действующая ферма в укромной долине в парке National Trust Coastal Park, что в Южном Девоне. Неподалеку находится деревня Хоуп Коув с ее песчаными пляжами, пабами, сельской лавкой и тропинками для прогулок вдоль береговых скал. Поле для гольфа, верховая езда, плавание на яхтах и другие водные виды спорта — в нескольких шагах.

Sadly we won’t be back

Having visited Hope Barton Barns before we were very disappointed with this stay. Check in is now 5pm Friday, check out 9am... this is apparently due to additional COVID cleaning but fans were dirty, shower was dirty (black mould also growing on walls and ceiling) and as stated in other reviews the lounge has carpets which in our case smelt of vomit although I suspect the culprit was dog hair!!! Even with the windows open all week the smell lingered for the whole stay! We’ve stayed in other dog friendly cottages and have never smelt anything like it! COVID restrictions were very much still in force with a helpful text informing you on the day of arrival the hourly slot you could use the pool for each day, with Fridays not an option given any trace of you must be gone by 9am Friday morning. This meant we were only able to visit the pool a couple of times as had booked things in during the day and only two of our slots were early morning/ late afternoon. Other places we’ve stayed just advised two families to use the pool at a time which was more sensible, on previous stays we’ve looked in and always been able to use the pool late afternoon and usually on our own! Water was a lot colder than the stated temperature and suspect few would have lasted the hour! There is no phone service - which is fine as nice to have a break but be warned the internet provision is very poor! Location was good and staff were generally friendly. Beautiful

Beautiful swimming pool with preallocated hours slots for covid. Fantastic views been coming every year and just keeps getting better. All nice farm feed crockery so very family oriented beach is only 10 min walk down a quite farmers field. Beautiful swimming pool with preallocated hours slots for covid. Fantastic cottages and amenities in a beautiful part of Devon

We love Hope Barton and keep going back. The cottages are really comfortable and homely. Nice touches such as a quality coffee machine and pretty Emma Bridgewater crockery on the dresser. It's a nice walk into Hope Cove or a short drive where you'll find a nice pub and a few other good places to eat and drink. Lovely coastal walks and lots places to visit nearby. We love Hope Barton and keep going back. The cottages are really comfortable and homely. Nice touches such as a quality coffee machine and pretty Emma Bridgewater crockery on the dresser. It's a nice walk into Hope Cove or a short drive where you'll find a nice pub and a few other good places to eat and drink. Lovely coastal walks and lots places to visit nearby.

Another wonderful week!

Once again we have returned feeling rested, refreshed and warmed by the wonderful welcome and friendliness of the Estate managers, John and Sue and colleagues. Over the years we have stayed in studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedrooms units, either on our own or with friends. All are well-equipped with very comfortable furnishings and many have great views too. Some ground-floor entrance, others first. The grounds are spectacular and one of the highlights has to be meeting other ‘residents’ in the bar of an evening and joining in the fun Quiz or Bar Skittles games with them. The pool, tennis court and sauna obviously offer additional options especially for wet days. Though outside the village it is only a 10-15 minute walk to shop, pubs and cafes. Highly recommended! Restful Visit

Visited with friends staying for the first part of our week. Always relaxing to stroll around the site, dawdle down into Hope Cove and even stride on the SW Coast path across to Thurlestone or further to Bantham. Evening events to keep you out of mischief, supper, quiz and skittles in the bar. Even if the weather is wet, I bet you will still brave the elements to enjoy this little corner of Devon.
