Comfortable, quiet, clean

We stayed at this resort as an RCI timeshare exchange. Our 1 bedroom unit was comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked, allowing us to make dinners every night of our stay. Bed /mattress comfortable. Good wifi. Grounds are well maintained. Pools/hot tub clean and nicely heated. There is a small cafe poolside. Washers and dryers are available at a cost of $1.75 each/load. Soap is sold at the front desk. There is a small amount of pressure, (not too bad), to attend a timeshare presentation, when you check in. There is plenty to do in the area for a week's vacation. nonperformance of promised firm mattress

Mattress on the bed was lumpy and soft when firm mattress due to back problems, was requested and promised before arrival. Because the problem was not resolved, we had to cut our stay in half with no compensation from RCI or Welk Resorts.I continue to have back pain due to experience. Clean Resort with nice rooms with Kitchens

This was a nice place to stay - I'd say it's probably a 3.5 star resort. Small pools next to each other - one family and one adult. Both pretty small. Restaurant nearby but with limited hours. Snack bar by the pool is not recommended. Staff is friendly/ I would consider returning. This was a nice place to stay - I'd say it's probably a 3.5 star resort. Unpleasant Experience

We used to own a timeshare unit here and proudly recommended it. However, last year and this year we used RCI to book a week and the cleanliness of this resort has seriously declined. The sofa was badly stained. Unit was not very clean. There was a dead rat outside our building for 2 days. We will not stay here again. Excellent resort

We very much enjoyed our stay at Welks Resort. Our 1 bedroom unit was very spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The pool area was very nice and not busy at the time of our visit. Shops and restaurants are close by and it was easy to get to attractions as well. We very much enjoyed our stay at Welks Resort.
