Friendly and cosy

We rocked up with nowhere to stay at 6pm. Jo and Butch were very welcoming and we were given a room, and had a beautiful meal cooked quickly, so that we were dining in no time! Our room was well appointed and the shower was awesome. Bed was very comfy and warm. We rocked up with nowhere to stay at 6pm. wild weather stay

great location if you like skiing , MBT and walks and fishing , all close by and only 1 1/2 hrs to main centres, love the walks that were close by and been able to drive into the heart of the southern alps and see some wonderful high country lakes and some lord of the rings locations great location if you like skiing , MBT and walks and fishing , all close by and only 1 1/2 hrs to main centres, love the walks that were close by and been able to drive into the heart of the southern alps and see some wonderful high country lakes and some lord of the rings locations

Excellent place to chill, explore and refresh. Hosts where great...good balance of helpfulness and letting you be. Very knowledgeable of the local area and had great information and helpful tips to make sure you could make informed choices to make the most of your stay. A short break close to home

Mt Hutt Resort is a great location for anyone wanting to enjoy the great outdoors, or in our case exploring locations close to home. On-site facilities are limited but that is very clear in the blurb about the Resort. Great location to be energetic or to just blob. Great ever changing views whilst sitting in your lounge. Yes, you need a car and need to go about 15 minutes for retail hangouts...but a small hardship. This is our second visit, hopefully not too long before our third. Mt Hutt Resort is a great location for anyone wanting to enjoy the great outdoors, or in our case exploring locations close to home. Mt Hutt Lodge Rakaia Gorge

Just spent 7 days at Mt Hutt Lodge overlooking the Rakaia Gorge. The views from the unit are amazing with wonderful views of the Rakaia River and Mt Hutt. The unit has everything you need and was good for a couple. We had our grandson stay a few nights but would be a bit cosy if there were 4x adults. Lots to do in the area especially if you enjoy the outdoors. You must have a vehicle if staying here as the closest shops are in Methven about 10 to 15mins drive away. Butch and Jo were very helpful and run a restaurant and bar onsite as well. They are very knowledgeable in regards to activities to do within the Mid Canterbury Region.
