Lucaya Thanksgiving visit

I believe the location of the resort is the best selling feature. It is two blocks away from the beach and way north of the Ocean City Boardwalk. The property management is offsite thus you call to get your door codes and ask questions about unit. I wish they spent more on refurbishing the unit; it is dated with mirrored walls and 80s decor. The mattress was pretty firm and I slept well. The stove in our unit had 1 non-working burner of four. The cable never worked with more than 2 channels and no batteries in half of the remotes, thus having 3 televisions was pointless. With a family of 6 having 2 bedrooms was great. The balcony had a wonderful view of the water inlet to one side and the skyline of other buildings to the other side. The only hiccup in our visit was miscommunication to/from housekeeping when they believed we were to check out 3 days before our time and they changed the door locks. Nice place

Ocean City is quiet in November so not a whole lot to do vs summer, but the resort and unit were more than adequate for my needs. Would stay there again especially in warmer weather. no onsite check-in. phone support was horrible

they lost my reservation. numerous phone calls just to get my unit # and access. Friday check in but couldn't get access until Saturday. No Internet service for 2 days. no welcome packet with info on connecting to internet so more phone calls. Unit Temp set to 58 degrees and couldn't go above 65 and said it was locked. googled to find out how to override the thermostat after freezing for a night. they lost my reservation. numerous phone calls just to get my unit # and access. Looks like an hourly hotel

I was joining my Sierra Club group for a tour of Assateague National Park so I rented a 2/2 condo for two nights – Friday and Saturday. I want to say something nice so: The unit was spacious and with wonderful brand new Trex deck which overlooked the pool and to the right, the water. It had a comfortable pillow top mattress and nice pillows. Also good water pressure. That’s it for nice. They do not mention anywhere that there is no check-in desk. It’s fine that you need a door code, but driving around in the pitch dark looking for the check-in office was unpleasant. They could have easily mentioned it somewhere. I only found out because I called the 800 RCI number AFTER I tried calling the Lucayan listed number to no avail. The unit numbers do not match with the parking space numbers. Another PITA at night when you’re tired. When you walk down the common hallway, the carpet is F.I.L.T.H.Y!!!!! Enormous stains are everywhere. At first glance, it looks like an hourly hotel. The unit I rented was DATED at best. The bathtub fixtures were CHEAP and from the 80s. Actually, except for the televisions and mattresses/pillows, most everything is from the 80s. Someone must have had a sale on 27 inch flat screens. One in each room, but you can hardly see the screen. The unit itself was clean-ish. After seeing the common hallway, I never removed my shoes. Actually, I was hesitant to touch anything. But I was exhausted, it was late, and we had to be up at 7 to make the 9am hike. The bed was really comfortable. I refused to stay the 2nd night. Avoid at all costs

Hallways are dirty and smelly. Unit had one burnt skillet in kitchen and vert few dishes and utensils. Furniture is dated and very uncomfortable.
