Wouldn't Recommend or Return
Food in the Flemmyng restaurant was poor quality. Was told breakfast would be a full buffet but it was actually a continental buffet with a full English breakfast. Sausage was undercooked, scrambled eggs were microwaved. Potato scone and blackpudding was brick hard. Had better in Wetherspoons so we didn't return for the evening meal. The worst thing about here though is the "luxury" cottages. You only have to go look on trip advisor and their Facebook page to see that this isn't the first complaint about the sheer disgusting state of the cottages they have to offer. The first cottage we were placed in (Number 55, Arran) stunk of smoke. Had pet hairs everywhere (they do have "budget pet friendly" cottages, this is not what we had paid for) Every item of furniture was damaged and marked. The bathroom flooring was pealing up, the woodwork rotting, mold around the tub. We went straight back to reception where a lovely lady changed our cottage with no issue. The second cottage, although better quality of furniture and slightly cleaner, wasn't much better. The flooring in every room was filthy and covered in stains. Everything is so basic and old. The only room that had clearly been renovated in the past 5 years was the bathroom and even then the quality was poor and shoddy. Marks all over the walls, kitchens are straight from the early 2000s with matching decor to boot. How they can get away with classing these one bedroom cottages as luxurious is beyond me. After speaking to other guest close by and having a nosey in the windows in some of the empty cottages whilst walking the grounds it was clear we weren't going to do any better than we already had. It's a shame because it's a lovely resort, with such a nice setting. The swimming pool and spa facilities were mediocre, but we definitely would not return. Fun despite the storm
Moness Country Club greeted us despite a power cut and worked very hard to ensure all the guests had an enjoyable stay. Would definitely go again. Don't want to write any more. Disgusting cottage and customer service
Absolutely disgusting cottage. Fridge was broken and the smell from it was vile. Carpets covered in stains. No running cold water! Customer services as vile as the fridge and full of excuses. What a storm,
We arrived on Friday, we had a storm on out tail, we checked in to our cottage, not going to lie, it was a bit dated, but warm, clean, very clean, we were happy to spend our 2 nights in the property, alas, after the trip to the shops for essentials it all went pear shaped, we managed to cook dinner before the electric went out, no heat, light hot water, WiFi, suddenly it felt like a very different place, soon it was freezing, went to bed, the following morning it had snowed overnight, went to hotel, sadly, woefully unprepared for no electricity, not a candle, torch or any means of light, now you prepare for a fire with smoke detectors, extinguishers, alarms etc , but hope never to use them, so why so poorly prepared for this event,the night porter tried his best to share information verbally, the hotel and cottages were very busy,, no written communication, this was 12 hours after the lights went out, went to Aberfeldy, it was all but closed, not even grocery shops open, the roads were treacherous, decided to head off as told electricity was not due on any time soon, I understand that happened at 3pm ish, while none if this was the properties fault, nature, act of God, call it what you want, the owner, who was at home and his management if applicable could have communicated with the guests even a written note at reception with updates, but nothing nothing at all, could have done better!!!!!!! Dreadful
Do not waste your money on this awful resort. We felt we had no option but to leave within an hour after arriving to our cottage which hadn’t been heated and when turned on was broken. To be then asked to come to reception to be given different accommodation than was booked and worse than the first. A pitiful offer of a cup of tea to warm us up and refusal of refund as it was our choice to leave. Customer service at its worst . This resort needs a complete overhaul from accommodation to staff all of which are run down and tired . I am amazed people pay to stay here. Do not waste your money on this awful resort.
