Lovely, quiet and convenient
We absolutely loved our stay at Campanilla Compound in Unit 12. It was so spacious, well furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed the privacy, the quiet and the scenery. Very picturesque and exactly what we pictured Santa Fe to be like. The location is super convenient to downtown Santa Fe and other adventures. The kitchen had the perfect amount of supplies and tools. There was an outdoor grill, patio for eating outdoors, and a peaceful deck on the second floor for sunsets and star viewing. We came at a very hot time- and the upper floor could get hot at night- but there were AC units and fans available. We absolutely loved our stay at Campanilla Compound in Unit 12. Lovely Stay in Santa Fe
Enjoyed our stay at the Campanilla Compound. Getting in and out was easy, great walk to the Plaza and surrounding restaurants, and the unit was terrific. At no time were things loud and felt truly private even if you had neighbors a short distance away. We will stay here again when we visit Santa Fe. Enjoyed our stay at the Campanilla Compound. Home away from Home!
A place that gives true meaning to home away from home. Units have private patio, separate living room, full kitchen that is a separate room, separate bathrooms and separate bedrooms. Everything needed for a great getaway whether you’re using it as a base for other activities or place to hang out for the whole time. There is always someone who wants to sleep late and someone that wants to get up early. These units accommodate that very easily without disturbing everyone. Located in quiet neighborhood, yet a quick walk to activities around the plaza. Looking forward to returning. A place that gives true meaning to home away from home. Enchantment in The Land of Enchantment
In this time of COVID, trips to far off exotic lands are sadly not possible. However, New Mexico is a great alternative. And Santa Fe is a terrific destination, literally a step back in time to colonial Spanish America. When visiting Santa Fe, we’ve found that Campanilla Compound is by far the best place to stay, for many reasons. Foremost, if you are going to immerse yourself into the true Santa Fe experience, walking to the center of the old town, specifically the Santa Fe Plaza, is essential. Campanilla Compound is just a few blocks from the Plaza and all of the shops and restaurants surrounding it. The night we arrived, it was a five minute stroll to La Sena Restaurant (highly recommended). Yet because of its location on a quiet side street, surrounded by old adobe walls, it is extremely calm and quiet. Campanilla Compound is a collection of 1 and 2 bedroom mini-homes, larger than “casitas” but smaller than normal homes. The homes surround a central fountain, and are all extremely private, with Adobe walls and secluded courtyards. Each home is fully equipped with a kitchen, dishwasher, stove, utensils, dishes and silverware. Each unit also has a washer and dryer. We found the cleanliness to be immaculate on our previous stays, and if anything, even more so during these difficult times. After a full day of exploring Santa Fe on foot, there is nothing better than sitting in one’s quiet shady courtyard, sipping some good New Mexico wine and noshing on delicious tapas made with ingredients bought that morning at the local Farmer’s Market. When the sun finally sets, retiring to your living room and firing up your own wood burning kiva fireplace as the chill of the high desert night steals upon you, transports you to a magical enchanted place. Positively Perfect for our family!
We traveled with our 2 teens this week to SF. We stayed at #10 in the Campanilla Compound and couldn't have been happier! Very easy to find and park. Beautiful grounds. Easy check in. The location is the perfect walking distance to the shops and restaurants in the Plaza area. Although, it is uphill on the way back - so take your time - adjust to the altitude and take it slow going back uphill. But it was so GREAT to not have to find parking near the Plaza!!! The home was warm and inviting with cozy New Mexico decor. There was PLENTY of space for all 4 of us. We especially enjoyed the back, covered patio with the water feature. We ate several meals there before sunset and having a grill was fantastic. The kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking utensil we needed as well as rags and dish towels. I loved how the kids could sit at the island and chop veggies while I fired up the grill. We had such fun going to the farmer's market at the railyard and buying fresh veggies and breads and jams. Also don't miss the green chili sausage and steak booth - it made for one of our top meals while here! The beds and linens are perfect. Having a washing machine was convenient. Having 3 baths was AMAZING! I finally didn't have to wait for someone to finish showering so I could get ready! Plenty of supplies such as toilet paper and kleenex and trash bags was so helpful. Travel shampoo available, but we brought our own. There were only 2 parking spaces directly in front of our unit, so we had to park in the main parking area and roll our luggage down the path behind the office and over some steps (3-4) to get to our unit. Could have just parked temporarily and unloaded in front on the gravel though. AC window unit in the guest room and master bedroom. We opened the windows most of the time. Our last night here it was 70 degrees after the rain came through at 5pm in August. Very quiet location - didn't hear any neighbors.Could hear cars driving by on Paseo de Peralta, but the water feature helped subdue the sound. Close to grocery stores on 285 or Whole Foods. Iconik coffee was a BONUS. Real coffee with great flavor that the management had stocked so we could brew one pot initially. Also stocked with creamer and sugar and truvia (stevia sweetner) available. No honey for tea, but yes it does have a tea kettle. Most of all, we loved the location so the teens could come and go as they pleased since they had a key. They could walk to the Plaza and shop or eat and walk back. They loved the freedom of being close to a lot of dining options. Just can't think of a better way to spend the week before college then staying here. I'll treasure hanging out on the patio and playing cards in the living room with the kids their final week few days at "home." We traveled with our 2 teens this week to SF.
