Fantastic location,but poorer hotel accommodation

Fantastic location, but two star accommodation since the elevator did not work for the entire week,extra euros for kitchen soaps, body shampoos and conditioner, plus extra euros for laundry usage. Be ready to pay for additional 55 euro for room service when you checkout, poor quality of a/c and the beddings.Staffs are friendly, speak good English, not many good restaurants around, must have a car to enjoy the beauty of the place. Get up early to view the spectacular sun rise, grab a coffee and a pastry from the nearby shops, they open at 6AM! Never Again

Where do I start? Check in was an experience on its own. The lady who checked us in was clearly not excited to be there. She huffed and puffed and sighed continuously as she went from one side of reception to the other but not achieving anything. As we arrived at our room we were horrified. The room is so dated, dark and dingy. The bed comes out of the wall however it is not made up. We have to make our own beds. There were no towels. The housekeeper came and threw the linen on the bed and told us to make it ourselves. I had to give back a few items because they had holes. The pillows were lumpy , horrible cushions that we could put pillowcases on. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, felt like we were sleeping in a cot and we were on the verge of looking for alternative accommodation. There was 1 toilet roll given for our full 7 day stay and 1 refuse bag for the whole stay but we were expected to even recycle? The apartment also had to be cleaned, bed stripped and every dish washed and put back where we found them or be charged €55 for clean up on departure. There was no daily service . There wasn’t even washing up liquid or dish sponge or even 1 tablet for the dishwasher included. All this had to be purchased . The bathroom had obviously been refurbished and was ok. The internet was almost non existent. We had to pay €10 to make use of it however we got this back because it just didn’t work. There is a car park however you need to have a tiny little car to park it into the tiny little bays (caves) ! On the positive the location was great and there was a regular water shuttle going into Toulon. The view from our balcony was beautiful. This was a holiday that we were looking forward to and had traveled a long way for! What a disappointment, how people can even come and stay here for a holiday I cannot understand. Cheaper than a yacht on the French Riviera ( A lot!!!)

It's as a family that I discovered the place three years ago. And it's as a newly divorced e-bike fanatic that I've come to the place again. The view is stunning and it's quiet, clean and weel-equipped. Only two downsides : a) even when you draw the curtains with a manic care, it's not totally dark, during the day, forget about napping. b) there is no bathtub (as part of a stupid ecological decreee by the owner). Not as good as expected

Having booked through RCI, the standard of accommodation was not as good as I had expected, mainly due to the bad first impression of the frontage on arrival & the outdated & delapidated furnishings of the apartment. The staff were very nice & solved any problems immediately, the managers on reception both spke English & were very friendly. We didn't geel very welcome at the welcoming reception. St Mandrier restaurant owners were not the most welcoming to British visitors, there was one exception though, the forst one with tables on the quayside from the complex.
