High altitude, Thin air

We enjoyed our stay, but definitely noticed the thin air due to 9000 foot altitude at the resort. The road in and out of the resort has a steep grade. There was no snow during our stay, but there are postings for 4WD or chain requirements which would be necessary for snowy or icy road conditions. The condo was fine…getting to it—not so much.

This resort is 10 miles up a mountain. The road is very curvy and you can only go 25 mph. Once you get to the top of the mountain and find the resort, that is all there is up there. You are totally isolated. To get groceries or to find a restaurant you have to go back down the mountain. I’m sure this is fine for skiers but we are just traveling through and planned on spending four days there. We spent one day and left.The unit itself was fine. Lots of room with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Too isolated for me. I felt like I was trapped on the top of a mountain. We certainly were not going to attempt to go down the mountain in the dark. Colorful Mountain View

WE were so lucky to arrive at the perfect time for beautiful fall leaves. We were able to find so many hikes fairly close. We enjoyed the Mad Moose cafe and their own roasted coffee. We took a trip to Antelope Island and were able to see a slow grazing herd of over 200 bison which was a joy. We also enjoyed the Ogden Dinosaur Park . Lots of inrteresting places to see within an hours drive. WE were so lucky to arrive at the perfect time for beautiful fall leaves. We were able to find so many hikes fairly close. NOT THE BEST FOR SUMMERTIME

Nice area, very remote, no views. Might be great for skiers, but the summertime offers nothing to do except for cycling. Must drive quite a distance for any restaurants, bars or tourist attractions. Ogden is a great city to visit and the restaurants in Eden itself were fantastic. Nice area, very remote, no views. Views of the Powder Mountain every morning

We visited Powder Ridge Village and enjoyed a wonderful week in May, we got snowed in one day and the views from our room were amazing, the road from Eden to the resort was challenging but it was part of the experience of being at the top of the world We visited Powder Ridge Village and enjoyed a wonderful week in May, we got snowed in one day and the views from our room were amazing, the road from Eden to the resort was challenging but it was part of the experience of being at the top of the world
