Vacation in Vail, CO
Try to get to the third floor, if possible, or at least the middle of the building. We were at the end but could not get an upgrade. Management also said the Resort was totally full; however, we saw every day that the Unit next to us was unoccupied. Management said to check with RCI - RCI said to check with Management!! The Condo itself was very nice and we can recommend it. Try to get to the third floor, if possible, or at least the middle of the building. We were at the end but could not get an upgrade. Don't expect any customer Service
The property is actually fine. It's the staff that is absolutely horrible. I have never been treated so rudely by a property employee in my life. Caden O'brien, who was manning the front the desk at my check-in--my First impression of the property--literally told me "You are confusing the Hell of out of me right now", which was completely uncalled for. I was confused about which building I had reserved. I had been up since 4am and I left my phone in the car. He was upset that I didn't know which building I was in. I also called the front desk several times to request more shampoo. We were given tiny bottles and with a party of 10, that lasted a few days. When I finally got someone on the phone they answered by saying "Front desk, can we call you right back?" I said yes, no one called. Then I called back in about an hour and requested more shampoo. They said "uh...yeah...we will send some down". Nothing ever came. The units themselves are very nice. They have everything you need and the layout for the 1 Bedroom + loft is actually quite spacious for a group of 8-10 people. Jon the shuttle driver was extremely nice and helpful but the hotel is being run by a bunch of college age kids that are not held accountable. Just don't expect much from the staff the entire time that you are there. The property is actually fine. It's the staff that is absolutely horrible. Very Mid-range, okay at best
We came here through an RCI exchange with VRI for one week. Were told we were in a one bedroom + loft only to find out at check-in that wasn’t true. We had been downgraded to only a one bedroom which meant my husband and I stayed on the fold-out couch for the night that my mother and her husband stayed with us. Not a great start. The shower did not work in the en-suite bathroom, so we all had to share a shower. Another ‘downgrade’ of sorts from a two full bath to a one full bath, one half bath really. The spa and fire pit were closed outside our unit, so we had to walk to the main house to use the spa. The fire pit was closed because of fire bans in the area. No excuse for the whirlpool being closed however. Staff was rude at check in and throughout the stay- this is speaking of VRI staff specifically, not all staff at the hotel. The unit was ready about an hour early and it was updated and clean. These were redeeming qualities. We were also not nagged about touring any units or free breakfasts where we’d be hit with a sales pitch which is common with timeshare exchange, so that was a relief. This is a good affordable home base if you’re going to want to be in and around Vail a week or more. Lots of hiking right out the door or within a few minutes drive. Only two hours from Denver, which was great flying in and out of DIA. We would stay again with kids, but wouldn’t want to try to vacation with other couples or even select this accommodation for just ourselves. The pool and gym were clean, although the pool could use dome updates. Sauna and steam room were closed because of covid-19 during our stay. The grills outside the unit were new and easy to use, making staying in and cooking at home a great option for a couple of nights. The location downfall here is that it’s located in West Vail, not Vail proper. We are unfamiliar, so were unaware of the impact of this before our stay. The shuttle offered by the resort was also not running during our stay so we had to drive to Vail to go out shopping and dining in town. It seemed to us that Caronavirus was blamed for many downfalls during our stay they also cancelled housekeeping services and towel exchange for the week because of it. Seemed to us that the should have increased cleaning during this time rather than decreased it. So, all in all you get what you pay for. Lower your expectations so that you are pleasantly surprised at the good! That became our strategy. We came here through an RCI exchange with VRI for one week. Very Clean !!!
I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of our vacation rental at Streamside- Aspen. The kitchen was well equipped with the necessities which were in like-new condition. The location is convenient to Vail Resort and easy access to the highway while maintaining a mountain resort atmosphere. Convenient Location in Vail
We enjoyed a relaxing vacation week in Vail at VRI Streamside at Vail - Aspen. It is located along a beautiful stream (with a gently flowing white noise) but offers convenient access to Vail's popular villages (Vail Village and Lionshead Village) and several restaurants. The rooms are comfortable but clean but not lavish or new. The walking trails are also convenient and work-out and pool amenities are well kept. We recommend this property.
