Excellent Stay

Booked through Armed Forces Vacation Club and could not ask for a nicer unit. One week in a 1 bedroom condo on upper floor with a ocean view and balcony. Furnishing were a little dated but were in good shape and clean. Plenty of linens and appliances provided. Did not deal with housekeeping or maintenance because we had everything we needed and everything worked as advertised. Most everyone we dealt with at the resort was very pleasant and welcoming. We didn’t let it reflect on the resort but one person working the desk most evenings had a very negative attitude. During check in we mentioned how lucky we were to have AFVC available to us. His response was; “it’s the RCI units that no one else wants and they dump them on AFVC at the last minute hoping to make a few dollars”. That’s not true, we’ve used AFVC for several trips and always made reservations months in advance and have always had excellent units. Thank you RCI we appreciate what you are doing for our military. The guy wasn’t much for small talk or even exchanging pleasantries, most of the time he would just ignore you. That’s OK, we just chalked it up to being overworked. We were there thanksgiving week and he was there practically every evening including thanksgiving day. Hope to be lucky enough to come back again. Excellent Week At Schooner II

This is our third stay at Schooner II and we had a wonderful time as usual. Our two-bedroom unit was oceanside with spectacular views. The beach is clean and well maintained. The unit and property were meticulously clean and our unit appeared to have been newly renovated. The beds were much more comfortable than those at the condo in the same area that we had visited the week before. Covered parking was available in some areas of the property. The staff here is always very good and extremely efficient. Richard (Front desk) and Billy (Maintenance) are exceptional. Staff, as well as accommodations, are a big part of a great vacation experience. This is our third stay at Schooner II and we had a wonderful time as usual. Beautiful hotel and area

Our room was very clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The front desk clerks were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is within walking distance to several shops and places to eat. Our room was very clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Very outdated/old.

The units are very small and so is the condo. Everything is outdated and definitely not kept up with. The only thing good about this place is a staff was very nice and that location was decent. There are way nicer places anywhere you look at Myrtle Beach. The units are very small and so is the condo. Everything is outdated and definitely not kept up with. What a great way to spend a week at the beach

My husband and I spent a week at this resort in a two bedroom unit I booked through RCI using our timeshare as a trade. What a great choice we made. We had unit 1401 which is a two bedroom oceanfront unit. The building is a bit older but in great condition, including the interior furnishings of the unit. The bed were very comfortable as was the living room and dining room furnishings. The staff could not have been nicer to work with or more accommodating. We had direct beach access and a pool and hot tub, along with parking right at the building. The resort is convenient to so many activities and we were able to walk to mini golf and dinner most nights at nearby restaurants. We had a couple of minor issues with our unit which management took care of immediately, including a group of young people in the unit below us who lacked manners as they partied each night until the early morning hours. I finally called security after midnight our last night because of the loud music and loud singing and swearing coming from the balcony below. Security addressed it immediately. Mid-week we found several groups had purchased large fireworks and were setting them off on the beach in front of our building and those around us, some as late as 2:00 am. They were pretty to watch, but not at that time of the morning and certainly not being set off by groups who had probably been drinking and with no safety precautions in place. Otherwise I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beautiful way to watch the sun rise and set each day while at the beach.
