Like a Motel 6 with a living room and small kitchen.

We are a member of Vacation Internationale since 1985 and have never been disappointed with any of the resorts we have stayed at, until now. Because renovations were not finished at another resort our reservation was moved here. This place is not a resort. It's a simple motel, with no charm inside or out. The furnishings are old, ugly and basic. The kitchen does have a full refrigerator, microwave and oven but is poorly stocked in terms of housewares and utensils. It is located very close to Route 50 in a downtrodden area. If you just need a place to sleep and make some quick meals this place is okay but if you are expecting more, like we were, you will be disappointed. The Lodge at Lake Tahoe-Old and in need of updating.

The Lodge is located in a mostly residential area and has no view at all. The Lodge is old and in need of repair. The hot tub was inoperative the whole week we were there and the pool looked black on the bottom which turned out to be concrete delamination off the bottom. Very unappealing as it looked like dirt. Clean, comfortable and quiet

Our 2nd floor unit was very clean and comfortable, with a full kitchen and a nice king sized bed. The decor is rustic, but nice. The art on the wall are photographs of Lake Tahoe. This facility is close to the South Lake Tahoe attractions, within easy walking distance of many of the sites. Free WiFi internet is included and the parking is free. Quiet and comfortable. Convenient location.

2 bedroom unit--spacious, attractive updated woodsy decor. Loved the friendly, helpful staff, well stocked, updated kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of assorted pillows, 3 way lamps, bathrobes...lots of thoughtful touches such as extra pillows and towels, popcorn, hot chocolate, games, plenty of wineglasses, games, magazines and books, and a TV in every room. The sofabed was by far the most comfortable I've encountered. The spa was excellent! Would be happy to stay again. 4 stars only because it isn't "fancy", and is located in an area with some basic motels, but we loved being able to walk to shops and restaurants, and certainly had everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation.! 2 bedroom unit--spacious, attractive updated woodsy decor. LOVIN' the LODGE @ Lake Tahoe

Amazing staff, just off the beaten path but close enough to enjoy everything. Family oriented but quiet. Would definitely go back. Loved that there was a hot tub and pool (wasn't open when we were there - end of March - but nice to know its there for use.
