Fabulous place for a fabulous holiday

We (15 of us) absolutely LOVED staying at this resort very recently. It exceeded our expectations in terms of everything. The location of this resort is nothing less but spectacular and its pristine amenities is what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The chalets are spacious and very comfortable. Food and drink at he restaurant is good and very reasonably priced. The overall service at this resort was attentive and excellent. We will definitely return. Wonderful Winter Getaway

What a lovely setting and amazing views. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are cozy can’t wait to go back. The horse rides just down the road are the cherry on the top and the facility at the resort are wonderful. What a lovely setting and amazing views. No water

I would like to inform you of our complete disappointment with the level of service and communication offered at bushmansnek. We were four adults and one small child who stayed as guests for three nights. Upon arrival there was no water, we reported this several times and maintenance only tried to fix this the first evening. We had no water for three days. What is worse is that no one communicated with us, returned calls, or made alternate provisions for water supply. It is totally unacceptable. The service at the bar and restaurant was terribly slow and menu very limited. The rooms were freezing cold with no working heaters. The tv wall unit dismantled and almost fell The tv in main room was not working Tea, coffee, towels and soaps were not replenished daily. Five Stars for a Three Star Resort.

Bushmans Nek is located in such a beautiful part of the World. Main hotel social area is spacious inside and outside and overlooks the aesthetically pleasing feature rock pool with magnificent panoramic views beyond. Lots of activities on offer. Hiking trails were picture perfect and breathtaking. Stayed in a one bedroom rustic log cabin. Nice and cosy and had all the amenities one needed for a rustic cabin. The view from the cabin was top-class. Only gripe was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable ( sloped in the middle) , and the shower head over the bath sprayed everywhere. However, this did not deter me from scoring 5 stars as these glitches can easily be sorted by the hotel. We only had one meal at the small open restaurant. Food was simply presented, but homely and delicious. All the staff were friendly and accommodating and down to earth, and made our stay an absolute pleasure. I have to mention the charming New England Farm / Pig and Pony, situated across from Bushmans Nek. The Cafe serves scrumptious meals. There were a lot of happy farm animals strolling around, entertaining the children as well as the animal loving adults, such as myself! The horse riding set-up is very professional and the lady in charge was very friendly and informative. My two hour horse-ride I absolutely loved. The prices at the farm are very reasonable. Great to experience prices that do not rip tourists off! A top notch establishment that the owners and employees can be extremely proud of. awesome getaway

we luckily managed to get a last minute booking. I admit I didn't do my research before. After a not so pleasant 38km dirt road we reach Bushman's Nek and it was beyond my wildest expectations. Coming into autumn, the trees were changing color, a real feast for the eyes. All the staff were beyond amazing, but especially Thulani, he continually went out of his way to make our trip enjoyable, and we were even lucky enough to go for a hike with him. The rooms were flawless, the only slight issue we had was that they did not supply bath towels, but within a few minutes of asking at reception, they were delivered to our chalet.
