Love it but may not be best for young families....

Great pool. Well maintained grounds. Free bikes, gas grills, kayaks and fishing boat. (BYO motor.) Large, comfortable, clean units with plenty of storage. Ample golfing opportunities. Variety of restaurants nearby. Very close to interesting state park with nice hiking trails. Offers a very different Florida experience than Mouse City or sandy beaches. Very relaxing and low key. Only down side is some traffic noise from busy highway across the lake. Ben coming for over a decade and plan to return. Great pool. Well maintained grounds. Very Relaxing

You know, sometimes you just don't know how things are going to be when you decide to travel to a new place. We drove 9+ hours to reach this destination and like a lot of folks we were hoping for the best but expecting the worse. I can with a good conscience tell you that Harder Hall Resort is everything that it says it is, quiet, comfy and relaxing. The pool is wonderful and clean with a nice covered area in which to relax, with bathrooms right there for your use (and a chilled water fountain). We must admit that our room #26 is a might dated but here again very clean and comfy for us. The balcony is screened in to keep those pesky bugs from ruining the outdoor space (not that we encountered any). The bed was great and the unit exceptionally clean with everything you need for your stay. Each room faces the lake and they have swings facing the lake as well. There are several nice gas grills outside that you can cook on if you desire. We had one little issue with our TV, but bing bang boom the maintenance man took care of it really quick. We did not have any issues with the internet at all, we used it quite a lot with our tablets and laptop. The office staff was very accommodating and very pleasant to talk with. Sebring to us was just a relaxation spot, we were not looking for any attractions to speak of so it really met our needs. There is a nice golf course around the corner, but I did not bring my clubs. We recommend this location to stay and hope your stay is as pleasant as ours. Good, except for the internet in my room

I checked in Saturday, a day when the staff had chosen to be absent. I found the internet non-functional, and could do little about it until Monday. For various reasons, I didn't find out for sure until mid-week that the problem was limited to my room. I was allowed to use a vacant room (larger than my own) for internet, and could have moved in there. I chose not to, since I would be checking out in a couple of days anyway. They were accommodating, though I wonder if they will ever solve this problem with room 8. I checked in Saturday, a day when the staff had chosen to be absent. Great Experience

Harder Hall is a smaller resort with few amenities. However, that's part of why we came down. We like the area for the history and the restaurants. Check-in was quick and efficient once we put on our masks. The unit was immaculate with all rooms thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and appeared to have been recently updated. Very nice. The furniture was contemporary "tropical" and in excellent condition. The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the Fiesta ware plates and bowls. Again, very nice. Towel exchange midweek was contactless. We had no issues with noise. The lake was literally 10 steps outside of our screened in porch, the pier another 5 steps. Absolutely delightful. The views from the unit over the lake were stunning (especially the sunrises.) Every morning was spent in the screened in porch with coffee and reading. Quiet stay, great location .

Come here for a central location for the real Florida. 90 Minute drive to Orlando theme parks but a lot of local flavor. Relax and enjoy! Only 28 rooms, studios and 1 bedrooms. Sebring race track is close by and there is a small casino 1 hour away. Centrally located from both coasts and don't miss Bok Tower gardens.
