50th Birthday trip with sisters!!

We stayed November 13-20. It was a special trip with my 5 sisters for my 50th Birthday. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit. Needless to say, without husbands and kids we would have had a good time camping on the freeway.....However, we did enjoy the condo. It was right across from the pool and we did enjoy watching the few children there play in the pool. We arrived at 1am and went to the office and found the after hours number to call to get the key to the lockbox for our keys. An actual person answered and made sure we were all set which was nice. The condo is huge. There is a full size top load washer and dryer (not apartment and not xl front load). They even provided two single use boxes of tide detergent, however I always bring tide pods when we go to our timeshares (vacation internationale). There is a queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom and the bathroom is right outside the door for convenient use as a guest bath and night time potty use for bedroom. The shower in this bath is quite narrow and I was told the water pressure was just above being spit on. There was a bag in the dining room that had 3 extra rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels and some travel size shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. There were also a few garbage bags (super thin crap ones), 4 individual dishwasher detergent packets and a small (travel size) bottle of dishwashing soap. There was a note that anything needed beyond this supply we would need to purchase. Which with 6 women for 7 days I errored on the side of caution and I did purchase a 4pk of toilet paper at target. We didnt end up needing it but had we stayed past our 4am depart time (we had 7am flights from FLL) We would have needed to break it open. We ate out alot (like 6 moms wanna cook on vacation) so we didnt use all the detergent for the dishes. There was also no usual seasonings and condiments (thanks covid!) So be sure to get SALT AND PEPPER!! there is also not a supply of ziploc, saran wrap or tin foil (thanks again coivd)!. The slider leading to the covered patio area was nice. We really enjoyed the little geko/lizards that hung around. Just make sure to keep that screen closed or they will invite themselves in! We did notice the curtain sheers were quite black near the sliding door...whether from dirt or mold stain I'm not sure. It was mostly on the area by the door. The pull out sofa should only be used by kids or a smaller adult. It is typical of a sofa bed and could use some foam for sure. All other furniture was in good repair and comfortable. It looked like the floors had recently been replaced with new tongue and groove laminate wood look flooring. I did see some tile and shower samples in the office so hopefully they are in the renovation process. The tiles in the downstairs shower and on the floor are so worn they look dirty. Baseboards throughout need repainted or maybe just cleaned better. The closer under the stairs has a vacuum, micro fiber dust mop, broom, dustpan and 2 beach chairs. Both of our beach chairs were broke!! Good thing I had already asked for 2 more at the office!! I mean, the condo can sleep 8 people (we were a party of 6) and they only provide 2 chairs???? There was a beach umbrella that didnt look great, but we never used it so I can't say if it was in good repair. There are 18 stairs leading upstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed and tons of closet space! It has a covered balcony facing the pool area. The master bathroom has a pocket door separating it from the bedroom and the sink area which has a slider that leads to another balcony overlooking the atrium area. Between the sink area and the shower/seperate soaking tub/toilet area is another pocket door. I personally love it when the "wet" area is separated from the sink/"get ready" area. One suggestion for the master bedroom would be black out curtains for the blinds above the bed. There are blackout curtains on the slider, but for those of us from the west coast who need to sleep a little later the blinds alone are not enough to keep the light out....especially over the bed!! The secondary upstairs bedroom has 2 single beds and a private bathroom with a tub/shower condo. All bathrooms are dated, like being in a late 80s home. The Fan in the master bath didnt seem to work at all but there was a heater to turn on. The A/C didnt seem to be working in the downstairs bedroom either. We really enjoyed our trip and again, it was somewhat the off season so not alot of people. The condo was adequate. However it doesn't need some updates and could have been cleaner especially since they tell you that if it takes more than 2.5 hrs to clean after you leave they will charge you $75/hr. With 2.5 hrs I could have accomplished much more! Especially when occupants are required to strip the beds and pile all towels and linens. Tenants also need to start the dishwasher and take ALL the garbage out. Therefore 2.5hrs for making beds, cleaning bathrooms and sweeping/mopping. It should have been cleaner. There were dirty spots on some doors and places on the walls and baseboards. Not a disgusting mess but details to be watched for! Staff should be reminded to look at the condo with a "guest" eye and not a "it's my house"/"good enough"/"cool I finished early"eye. If 2.5hrs is the allotted time it should be used!! The picture with the blimp is the beach access across the road. Very easy walk and nice beach! Watch out for the 70+ aged leather backs in teeny tiny speedos!!! Great location

The resort is right across the street from the beach. Great access with a crosswalk and light traffic. Beach umbrella, chairs and sand toys are provided. The pool was the perfect temperature and pool noodles and toys were available. My son loved the ping pong table. Our unit was large and the layout provided the feeling of personal space when needed. My happy place

Good location Close to the beach across the street lots of dining.close to all shopping ez to get to from the airport. Many good restaurants within mile. Very Large Unit, too loud for comfort

Stayed here on vacation and found the unit to be very large enough space for eight people. We had a horrible experience with the kids playing in the pool early hours and people next door and also more teen age kids playing in the pool late at night. Keeping us awake not enjoying our vacation. We reported to management but with this being a resort without management after hours, leaving at 5 PM each day. Not much they did to resolve the issue. I know they sent out flyers asking people to be mindful to quiet time 10 PM to 8 AM. But it did not help. We woke one night thinking someone was in our unit running up the stairs, we checked and found it to be our neighbors. They were extremely loud into the wee hours of the night till 2:30 AM. Drinking and being loud inside the atrium. This noise is like a sound tube traveling from one unit to the next. The pool is right by your slider so no privacy and not quiet. The place also needs a major renovation. It is so old and tile chipped, base boards need scrubbed, kitchen needs new cabinets. The bath rooms need a complete renovation. It has the old cultured marble that has turned yellow and cracking. Shower doors need to be replaced. It does have washer and dryer. It is not on the beach, it is across the road. The beaches were not good this time, water choppy, and a lot of seaweed all over the dune. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Walmart nearby. If you need space and don't mind noise and don't mind the old look, in bad shape, you may like it here but not for us. We will not return here. Our Ventura Experience

Overall, we had a good experience I would say the main thing we missed was staying on the beach, but very easy access right across the street and plenty to do nearby. Our room needed a few things but resort staff was always friendly and attentive. There is more than enough space! We stayed with our kids grandkids and mother-in-law and there was plenty of room.
