Lady at the front desk is rude. Advertise a hot tub but leave out kids cant use it. The pool is “heated” but freezing!!

So annoyed!! We bought 5 units with 4 different families (8 kids). We were excited to explore the property and take advantage of the amenities on property. The older lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Our kids are kids, but pretty well behaved. They were quiet and not running around everywhere but the lady kept walking around and looking in the window at us. After a long day of exploring the town, we took the kids to the pull. We honestly didnt read the signs (we play travel ball and stay at hotels 3+ times a month so we know hotel pool rules) there were cameras everywhere so we were kn our best behavior. The older lady kept looking in the window and you could tell she was mad. She came in (with back up) and firmly told us to “read the signs” and that kids 14 and older were not allowed in the hot tubs. I explained that with toddlers, and the pool being freezing, we really hoped to use the hot tub. I also told her that the rule should be advertised because we literally chose this resort over others because there was a hot tub. Some of our kids are small and the arent crazy about a big COLD pool. As she was walking out I said “well can we get some towels” and she again, firmly replied “yes but you have to return them when you leave” like we were going to steal the towels or something. The “back up” stayed behind and she was nice. She explained their crappy rule and stated that she was sorry. I will add that the hit tub was warmer than my kids bath water... Bottom line, one: you do not have to treat your guests like fugitives, and two: advertising ALL rules, stupid ones included. And three: we love the area but we WILL NOT be staying here again! Great location for exploring the area!

We stayed in a one bedroom condo in the Mountain Laurel Villas. The unit was very clean and has been recently updated with new flooring and furniture. It was spacious and very quiet. We enjoyed staying in the heart of this beautiful area, being close to Brevard, Cashiers, and Highlands. We rented a kayak and kayaked on Sapphire Lake and hiked to many of the beautiful waterfalls in this area. The staff was helpful in suggesting hikes we should not miss. There is so much to do in and near this resort. We stayed a week but look forward to returning again soon. We stayed in a one bedroom condo in the Mountain Laurel Villas. The mountains were great

The location was great - in the mountains near a lake and beautiful places to walk. The resort feels old although clean. We expected a quiet, relaxed vacation and got that for the most part. The unit was closed in and not comfortable to hang out in. There was a community center that was open with many windows and places to comfortably sit outside. Also, the pool was included and clean. Most everything else was expensive. Nice activities available around town. Just expect to spend more on activities and eating that you did on the room. I loved the mountains and the Sapphire Valley area is great. I hope to come back, but I may choose a different resort. Beautiful Area

OK. First off I don’t know why this is called a ski resort. There is one very small hill with one run. That said I love the area. The complex is set up like a ski resort with a lodge, recreation center, a playground, snack bar and very good nearby restaurants. There is local horseback riding, mining and hiking. It is about an hour from Great Smoky MT NP. and very close to Gorges State Park and an hour and a half from Asheville, NC. The resort itself has nice rooms and the units are set in pretty wooded areas. We were in a Mountain Laurel unit. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are two bedrooms with king sized beds and two pull out sofas. It has a full kitchen (cabinets could be updated but that is being picky), a jacuzzi, and multiple TV’s. Just what the doctor ordered

Ready to go back!!! We had an amazing stay at Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley. Michelle at the front desk really knows the meaning of customer service. She was so pleasant and helpful. The 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family. My kids loved that it was a 2-story unit and they had the 2nd floor all to themselves. The grounds are well kept and the ski area was just steps away from our door. Saving the best for last, the waterfalls!!!! Dry Falls was our favorite but never imagined we'd have so many beautiful waterfalls nearby. Will definitely be back. Ready to go back!!!
