Very uncomfortable furniture

We stayed in Building E which clearly hasn't been updated in a long time. The couch was awful. You could feel the lumps and springs when you sat on it. The bed was pretty lumpy too. While the property is right on the ocean, visitors should know that it's not a swimmable beach. So there's a gorgeous view but stay safe and stay out of the water. The property is within walking distance to the town which is nice. Just wish the units were configured better. The air conditioning doesn't reach the bedroom and you won't want to open the windows because they face the walkway everyone uses to get to their rooms. So people can look right in at you! Please process refund of week July 16 -23, 2022 right away. I have been waiting for credit card refund since November 18, 2021; it is now November 29, 2021. I have been an RCI member for over thirty five (35) years. My past experience with RCI has been excellent and the most recent RCI experience has tainted RCI excellent reputation of high integrity service, due to the lack of refund and credit to my credit card. Lovely resort. just a few issues.

Wonderful resort, great location central to the island. Just had a few maintenance and housekeeping issues but overall a very friendly and helpful staff. Kitchen was well furnished. Property grounds were truly paradise. Wonderful resort, great location central to the island. Just had a few maintenance and housekeeping issues but overall a very friendly and helpful staff. Pono Kai Resort in Kapaa

Nice resort for families. Close to beach, bike trail, shopping and dining. Centrally located on island. Rooms need updating and noise can be heard from other units. Amenities are good. Pool is nice with large hot tub. Lots of chairs around pool. Nice resort for families. Close to beach, bike trail, shopping and dining. Centrally located on island. October 2021 stay

We stayed a week at Pono Kai in October 2021. The staff was nice. We had a oceanfront unit that has been renovated. They have all the units scheduled for renovation A few at a time. The unit had everything you need for your stay, including a well stocked kitchen. We were able to have breakfast and made a few dinners. Enjoyed the walking path and the sunrise each morning. Very relaxed atmosphere. Walking distance to Kapaa. We had our own snorkeling stuff which was nice. Already booked for next year! We stayed a week at Pono Kai in October 2021. The staff was nice.
