"В целом понравилось, но не "ВАУ"

Отдыхали в декабре 2014 года. Отель выбрали основываясь на его фотографиях, отзывов на русском почти не было. В принципе не пожалели, так как покупали его по акции со скидкой, если бы пришлось заплатить полную стоимость,то скорее бы было больше претензий)))) Не знаю как вообще на Козумеле с морем, в конце декабря на западном побережье местами было очень много водорослей. На пляже отеля их активно убирали, но все равно они портили цвет моря и покупаться в кристально чистой воде не получилось. Но это,конечно не к отелю вопрос,а к природе) Сам пляж большой и чистый,есть пирс для лодок, лежаков много,полотенца в достаточном количестве. Территория средняя по размеру,чисто,зелено, несколько бассенов Мне очень понравилась зона ресепшн,очень стильно декорирована,имеет вид на море Территория отеля условно поделена на две зоны, то есть отдельно выделена так называемая "привелигированная зона" с корпусами странненького желтого цвета на первой линии от моря. Меня не впечатлило(ИМХО) Наш номер 4012 Полулюкс Swim Up оказался просторным, мне показалось что ренновация была не так давно, мебель как мебель, без изысков. Ванная комната маленькая, туалетные принадлежности неплохого качества. В номере есть отпариватель для одежды, это как плюс. У этих номеров свой бассейн с горкой,по которой можно съехать в центральный бассейн.Я не рискнула по причине того,что состояние самого спуска не обнадеживало, его точно надо подремонтировать. Про питание. Ресторана всего три. На шведском столе выбор не большой, но голодным не останешься.Выбор фрешей маловат Ресторан Oceana на свежем воздухе тоже неплох, рыбные блюда мне понравились. Во французском ресторане напрягали очереди, меню так себе. Баров четыре штуки, ну и еще отдельный бар для постояльцев из номеров категории VIP. Алкоголя много видов, премиум брендов очень мало. Сервисом остались в целом довольны, старались оставлять чаевые, и это существенно влияло на его качество(как и везде) Услугами и развлечениями спортивной направленности не пользовались, но они там есть. Очень понравилась пенная вечеринка у бассейна на Рождество. Невозможно не упомянуть про умопомрачительные по красоте закаты на острове. В отеле есть специальный Sky Bar на крыше,где можно встретить закат. Если спросить себя "хочу ли я сюда вернуться?", то я отвечу "Да", но только исключительно по спецпредложению. Прекрасный отдых))))

Прекрасный отдых))))Хорошее соотношение цены и качества. Мексика это нечто...это прекрасный пляж, рядом с хорошим отелем в котором хороший сервис и питание. Family vacation

Paola was my favorite!! She made sure we were taken care of from the beginning to the end!! She was always a pleasure and made the trip so great! Gracias Paola! I also loved Heidi that led the water aerobics. Gohan Sushi was my favorite place to eat. Great place to visit again! Paola was my favorite!! 10 Days in Paradise

Will start off by saying that we have travelled to Cozumel many times and have never stayed in a Secrets resort. It is an older resort and it is on an ocean - so people should understand that comes with it's own challenges. While we also found that upgrades and maintenance is needed, they were already working on it. Was surprised to find that they have only been reopened since June due to Covid. And that they continued to pay their staff when closed down which I believe is outstanding since the island community relies so heavily on tourism. Their attention to details was so nice. We've never stayed at an all-inclusive that served unlimited top shelf cocktails. All of the staff were so friendly, sharing their names and stories - and using greeting you by name in future. We really appreciated the extra attention in the rooms, turn-down service, full-sized toiletries, sweet dreams rugs by the beds, fresh towels and especially the patio amenities! Wish there would have been a place to hang swim suits in our shower and there wasn't really enough storage for clothing. We thought the restaurants were fun and creative. Loved the French and the Sushi restaurants! The Market was exactly what we needed for daily meals with lots of options - not sure when feeding the masses that they have the option to expand seasoning to specific tastes. I'm from Louisiana so I appreciate flavor - but my expectations were that this was an all-inclusive resort. The beach service (Vicky and company!) were attentive and wonderful! The entertainment - Heydy, Juanini, Lelani were tireless in their efforts to engage visitors. We had fun the whole week - loved the classes on the beach & pier and the evening entertainment was excellent! Loved the music & bands, acrobats, and blackjack - our daughter won diamond earring studs. Overall - the staff were exemplary and made up for any short-comings. Thank you all very much! The reviews for this place are accurate

The staff was amazing. Shout out to Heidi by the pool and Jesus at the lobby bar. The property layout for this resort does not flow very well and you will likely have to walk miles each day to do things. We did about 12,000 steps each day. The rooms are old but not unliveable. We lost water during our stay but they did fix it quickly. Be warned there is no elevator for some of the buildings. We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to our room every day. The food was hit or miss. The hotel itself is def falling apart. Also if you are a POC be warned there is no diversity at this resort and you will be the only ones. The staff was amazing. Our experience

Our experience at Secrets Aura Cozumel We traveled November 26- December 1st and booked this trip through Cheap Caribbean. The reviews looked great, I chose this destination for that reason. This was not the case for us AT ALL. We had a preferred pool swim up room. When we arrived the room was good, small things were noticed as the hotel itself is pretty old which wasn’t a big deal to us, we aren’t super picky people and don’t normally complain about little things. Our trip wasn’t a super long one so we just wanted to enjoy the time we had. We ended up meeting with UVC on the 28th and joining as a silver member (which consumed a whole day of our trip). After sleeping in our room the first night my boyfriend noticed a couple bites on my leg, I didn’t even realize they were there nor did I ever feel anything bite me. Figured it was just a mosquito or something, maybe something in the water. Each morning we woke up I had more and more but still didn’t think anything of it, I thought it was weird but we were in the ocean everyday so maybe it was something in the water. The morning before our last day I woke up and said.. “what if it’s bed bugs?!” He said oh my gosh I didn’t even think of that but it makes sense! So we tore off our sheets and sure enough, the mattress has been torn apart, there are black specks in every crevice and there are signature stains from them. The bites on my body are classic of bed bugs as they leave small welts in a linear fashion (which are now scarring on my body!). We went to the preferred desk to talk to someone about this. I can’t remember what her name was but she asked us when we were leaving and we told her the next day, she said to us “is that why you waited until today to say something?” UM WHAT?! We would never have anticipated this as this resort is supposed to be on the higher end and we paid quite a bit to be there! She then told us she would have the paramedic come see us in our room. He comes and says “so you have 2 options, you can pay $30 for a tube of hydrocortisone cream, or pay $80 to get diagnosed by the doctor.” Well why would I go see the RESORT doctor who is obviously not going to say it’s bed bugs as he WORKS for the RESORT. So that was a bust and a waste of time. And a tube of hydrocortisone cream for $30!? I’m an RN, I know a little bit better than that. Plus, why am I PAYING FOR IT?! We met with Eunice then who is one of the UVC reps who we got along with great at first. She said they can fumigate our room or change the mattress or switch us rooms. We decided to switch rooms because we didn’t want to have chemicals all over our things and who knows what was in them. She finishes up our meeting with “yeah we have to wear bug spray all the time because the mosquitos can get so bad.” What the hell?! So no one is owning up to it and trying to make us feel like we’re crazy. We ended up switching our room after our excursion on our last day which was more of our trip that was wasted and we were only there for 4 days! I’ve been in contact with the manager of the UVC there, and we told him we wanted a refund which he could not do apparently, offered us 7 premier nights which in my opinion is not nearly enough to compensate what we’ve been through and is an easy way to just get out of it. As soon as we landed I went to urgent care about it and my boyfriend was busy trying to make sure everything was taken care of with our luggage so we didn’t bring it into our home. I’m so upset with how we’ve been treated over something that is a vacationers worst nightmare. I told the manager of UVC I just want to cancel our membership because we’re just being treated like a joke, we’ve only been a member since the 28th and I thought we’d be taken a little more seriously since we paid so much money to be apart of this, and he didn’t really seem to care. Stay 2021 thoughts!

Going in we knew this was an older resort, not a concern. The room was clean and no odor, but we travel with a gel air freshener and dap rid hanger! Had a second floor pool view, hammock my oasis! All the staff super inviting, friendly and helpful! The food was good, if hungry ask for more or we learned from friends with us order every course. Drinks were good, options plentiful and all delicious. Bothered by the chair game on the beach, not really an issue at pools! Staff has trick to time empty chairs with towels there! Water and beach clean and beautiful, They are actively rehabbing the complex. However construction fumes were overwhelming at times on calm breeze. The made to order omelets and the breakfast buffet at the Marketplace Cafe were the highlight of each day when we learned of it! The Sundial daily activities agenda have all the info you need to plan your days, handed out by staff each evening for tomorrow. They inform you the the restaurants open times and the cuisine for them for that evening! Plenty of activities and seemed reasonable prices, I parasailed and loved it! Learned a lot from watching does and don’t from other guests, will pack some helpful things and leave others at home! Lastly, Cozumel is on a reef, to safely enjoy the water’s edge and getting in the sea I highly recommend good comfortable water shoes! Alfredo at the Manatee Bar and Vicky on the beach were super! Also, the “Handsome” Ricardo at marketplace was funny and good! Watching the falcons and the handlers for pest control was very cool, learned from speaking with them!
