Nice surroundings and nature. Difficult to reach the property with a passenger car due to the 6 km dirt and bumpy road. The food was below standards, still there is the mandatory HB. Nice place

La Casella is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the natura. A lot of green around in a rural area. Own transportation is required. Staff is friendly and polite. However, we experienced some problems with the internet connection and the TV was not available. La Casella is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the natura. A lot of green around in a rural area. La Casella, Eco Resort

This resort is very unique. Rural, quiet, and peaceful. I visited in off season (Jan.) so I am not sure what it would be like when the resort is full. Staff was Super friendly. Totally enjoyed my stay. This resort is very unique. Rural, quiet, and peaceful. I visited in off season (Jan.) so I am not sure what it would be like when the resort is full. Honeymoon Trip to Umbria

My wife & I selected La Casella to be our base for exploring beautiful Umbria during our long-delayed honeymoon. It was her first trip to Italy (I had lived there for all 4 x years of high school in the 1980s). Looking at some of the recent reviews, while it is true that it is hard to find and off the beaten path, we loved the famiglia feel and had a wonderful time. We were treated very graciously, wined & dined extremely well, toured the many medieval towns, participated in a cooking class, and met all sorts of great people from around the world including most if not all of the family. In short, we were very happy with the experience. Not for the timid &/or spoiled though, as some of the buildings could use some sprucing up, but a genuine Umbrian working horse farm. Kidney Farm

Don’t go. I was lost for 4-5 hours and calling there. No answer. Of course RCI was closed. The road was pretty bad so I thought this place must be amazing. Got to some buildings that looked deserted. No one around. Left there and slept in my car in Ovieta. Drove to Siena the next day and stayed at Hotel Etruria. Low budget but clean and Leo the owner was very helpful. La Casella reminded me of the movie hostel. Don’t go. I was lost for 4-5 hours and calling there. No answer. Of course RCI was closed. The road was pretty bad so I thought this place must be amazing.
