Отдыхали с друзьями в мае. Хороший отель с очень уютной территорией и собственным пляжем. Просторные номера, есть чайник и микроволновая печь. Отличные завтраки, всегда много фруктов и свежих соков. Nice hotel. Great for families.

Let me start by saying that this hotel is far from Santa Marta. Its approx 15km away, so any cab that you take, the fare will be a bit pricey (we are not foreigners). I will try to break the review by areas, so I will start with the checking process. Once we arrived we were greeted by the recepcionist, she was very attentive, briefly explained the amenities, and checked us in. We waited for our room to be ready. The room we had was in a 5th floor with ocean view. The room was simple yet comfortable. 2 beds, smarttv, a/c etc etc. The beds ands pillows were comfortable and more importantly the housekeeping ladies did a great job. The restaurant offers a buffet only for breakfast (20.000 COP p/p) . The choices could have been a bit more "international" . It offers soup , rice, scrambled eggs and some protein (chicken,beef,pork) for the hot dishes. Fresh fruit only papaya, pineapple and watermelon. For juices, OJ and another kind. There is no omelett station, although you can order fried eggs or an omelette directly from the server. There is waffle iron to make your own waffles. Variety of breads plus local pastries and local baked goods. The prices for lunch and dinner can be a bit pricey. The food is good. The pool area is great, lots of space. Two big pools (kiddy pool and adult pool) however is missing ambience, some background music would be nice. There is a pool bar but apparently only opens on weekends and the servers are not bartenders , the drinks were terrible. I dont recommend them. The beach area is quiet, relaxing and of course there are vendors coming to your tent every 5 min offering food, drinks, trinkets etc etc. My husband and I had a great time. If you have children its great for families too. If you are a couple its also amazing. I can and will recommend this hotel. If you have other questions I can gladly answer them. Enjoyable trip to Santa Marta, Colombia

The resort was located on a nice Caribbean beach front where we met some of the local vendors who were very friendly and respectful, We enjoyed our stay at GHL Relax Hotel Costa Azul and are grateful to the staff who attended to our needs. Special mention to the Reception staff including Valena who was very helpful. We also want to thank the restaurant staff for their friendly and professional service and kudos to the Band who performed 4 nights at the restaurant. We enjoyed the music and the interaction. We would recommend Costa Azul for a cool getaway. Great for families

Pretty large hotel, clean comfortable rooms with nice views. The swimming pools are great...especially the kids one! There is a swim up bar also, which sadly is only open friday-sunday & festivos in low season. Restaurant is ok. serves typical colombian food. The fried fish is really good. Buffet style breakfast plentiful, but the eggs were cold when we ate towards the end of service. Private access to a quiet beach largly free of hawkers. The staff at this hotel are super friendly. Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer

We were on a 17-day trip to Colombia and, unfortunately, only one night was at the Costa Azul. Like many of the other resort hotels in Rodadero, south of Santa Marta, Costa Azul had a great beach location. It was amazing to me how few people were actually on the beach and in the water; most were using the pools. I could see why, though, as the pools were targeted toward families with small children and had many fun activities such as an elephant water slide. The hotel was basically next door to one of the landing strips for the airport so there were frequent planes coming over the water at very low altitude. The rooms were insulated enough that noise was not an issue. We had lunch and dinner at the large thatch-roofed outdoor dining area. Service was great and food was excellent. Massages were available onsite but I didn't have time to indulge; wish I could have. Wish we had a second day at this hotel. Decent accommodation, food disappointing

The accommodation and facilites are good value for money. The staff was friendly and accommodating however most didn't speak a word of English so the check in and check out were a bit complicated. Location is perfect if you need to catch an early flight as I did. Was very disappointed by the restaurant which is why I only give the hotel a 3 star rating. I ordered a prawn cocktail which came in pretty warm and a cazuela de mariscos which consisted mostly of crab sticks. For 70.000 COP it simply not good enough. Don't put bloody crab stick in a seafood dish when you are litterally meters from the sea. My advice if you want to order food order something really simple like arepas or pollo, don't order any seafood as they don't know how to cook it.
