Worst Stay in Whistler We’ve Experienced

This was the worst experience we’ve had in Whistler. The sheets had stains and holes all over them. The cloths in the kitchen had food stuck on to them. They were obviously not changed from the last guest. The tv did not work. No one came to change our sheets. A maintenance person attempted to fix the tv for over an hour, so we were unable to leave. He realized we needed a new box, so he had to come back the next day. He offered to get our sheets, since no one came to change them. I had to change them which was a hassle at 11pm. They only offered us a later check out, when all these issues took up our whole first night. They did not communicate to the cleaners we had a later check out, because they woke us up and we had to explain to them we had a later check out. Do not go here. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL

This is a medical clinic and the receptionist, Agnes was laughing at me. While I’m in pain trying to get help the receptionist was LAUGHING AT MY PAIN. The doctor I was seeing is retiring and told me to see another dr and gave me a specific date. Being in pain I called to make sure I could see him the next day only to find out he’s on vacation. Exposing this and how I was frustrated Agnes continued to LAUGH at my situation and tells me better luck next time.... your receptionist could use some training. Bear lodge

Older resort, no hot tub to use although the staff all said different stories whether it’s for use or not which obviously was closed the whole time we were there, impossible to sleep because of noises from the bar across, only 1 locked cart for the whole timeshare which you need to leave your licence to unlock and use and walk to a different building to get the key..absolutely ridiculous. Bear lodge room 209

I stayed in bear lodge room 209 for a weekend in September 2020. I rented through Airbnb, so a review is also there. I would say the room was well represented in pictures on the Airbnb site. It definitely needs a facelift but the kitchenette, in suite laundry and huge balcony were definitely a plus. It was well cleaned but some small cleaning details were missed. Price wise is was definitely on the cheaper side of whistler which I appreciate($400 for two nights), so you get your money’s worth. It is in the ideal location (another plus). Check in was smooth, and overnight parking was the cheapest we could find ($15/night). It is right across from the local nightclub/pub. Due to COVID, those recently closed so noise wasn’t a big issue. I would say it is an average place, nothing fancy but decent. My main concern was the bed, I checked to make sure all the sheets were clean (they were), when I noticed the mattress had large black spots from wear and tear (see my pictures). The bed itself and the pillows were uncomfortable for me. Next time I go to whistler, I’ll look for another Airbnb that has more reviews, however the person I went with said he would go back. Eagle Lodge Unit 334

The location is right on Whistler Village Stroll so perfect for walking anywhere. The downside is that it can be a noisy location but great for people watching. We are pretty easy going people but the location and a new coffee maker were the only good things about it. It is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit which turned out to be in need of maintenance and cleaning as it was very dirty! After our check in we arrived outside our condo door to find a pile of various garbage items that stayed there for 1 1/2 days. We spoke to the property management about our problems and were told that the owners had their own maintenance/cleaning services. They did however send a maintenance lady to solve some of our issues which we greatly appreciated. We did take pictures of all the problem areas as proof of our problems. These included pictures of damaged plaster edges, filthy wall of kitchen counter bar where table sits, 5 lights that the bulbs didn't work, 1 lamp that did not work at all and was taken away but replacement never came back, shower door that did not close so water was all over the floor, bathroom cupboard door that did not close, overhead bathroom fans full of heavy dust, white table fan that was black with dirt, wood blinds that did not work properly, well battered wood furniture but to top it all off was the dirty dishes, cups and cutlery that had not been washed and put back into the cupboard!!!!!! Even worse than the dried run marks and food on the kitchen counter wall!!!! YUCK!!!!! The owners of this unit should be ashamed of themselves having this on the rental market. It should be taken off until it is cleaned up. We have rented with VRBO before but this one takes the cake! Would not recommend it because of the uncleanliness. The beds were advertised as queen size but indeed turned out to be doubles. Even after mentioning all of the above we did not allow it to spoil our covid-19 staycation. Whistler itself offers a lot to do and see. I wish I could have uploaded the pictures of all this but I don't know how.
