A Timeshare Property

While at the time of this writing the ownership of the property is not apparent to the general public, It is primarily a timeshare which is shared by Wyndham, Hilton and Diamond Resorts. As a Diamond Resorts timeshare owner, It is difficult to get a booking even 13 months out as we are allowed to do. It’s nearly impossible to get an ocean view room, even that far in advance. Even we owners are usually lucky to get a partial ocean view room. That said, this is our number one preferred property in our timeshare company‘s entire inventory. It is well staffed, well stocked, and well-maintained. Use of the washers & dryers is free to guests. My wife, my mother and I stayed here this week to celebrate my mother‘s 90th birthday. During our stay, we needed a couple of minor things and both housekeeping and engineering staff were available even in the late hours of the night. Everything we needed was attended to buy very friendly professional staff. You won’t find that at most hotels & motels. The general manager, Mr. Ben Banks has one of the best staffs I’ve ever come across. My wife and I now live in Washington state but if we could stay here every time we come to California, that would be fantastic. It sure beats any of the hotels and motels that we’ve stayed in over the last 20 years. Midweek vacation

Wonderful! We had a great room, and a very relaxing time. The views from the veranda were incredible! My husband signed us up for the timeshare tour, the tour guide was condescending so we declined going and were able to get our $20 deposit back. We would go back again. Wonderful! comfortable bed/room - get rid of the resort fee!

The bed and room were comfortable. The kitchenette was well-stocked. The room is a little dated, but that is okay with me. My view was of rooftops, but that is okay as i didn't pay for a room with a view - it was still pleasant enough, and I wasn't here long. The balcony was too small to use, though - a little triangle. My main issue is that they charge an additional resort fee. I asked them what it is for and they said "for wifi and to clean the pool." Well, every hotel I've ever stayed in has wifi as part of the fee, or for a small daily fee (not $20!), and every place I've been with a pool cleans it as part of the regular room rates. I think this resort fee is just a way to gouge customers for nothing. And, they charge tax on the resort fee! So, I pay for nothing, and then pay tax on the nothing I paid for. There are no other resort things here. And, I never found the restaurant on-site. The consierge seems to be there mainly to sell you a timeshare visit in another city. It is too bad that Avila Beach lets this place dominate the lodging options. I'd love to come back to Avila Beach, but won't come back here. I also agree with the other reviews about noise - walls are paper thin so you can hear people 1-2 rooms away. Although they seem to be doing a good job with COVID-19 cleaning, they wasted water running an empty dishwasher in my room before I checked in. Over rated

When you pay the money we paid......400.00 plus for two nights, you should see for your view more than a parking lot. The Villa is antiquated, the bath tub shower combo had very slippery, the extra toilet is old and very close to the floor., the exhaust vent for the microwave recirculates, we will not waist our hard earned monies here again. Go up to SLO or down to Pismo., or Morro Bay. When you pay the money we paid......400.00 plus for two nights, you should see for your view more than a parking lot.
