Clean and Relaxing environment

This was our first time to Door County. We booked the deluxe one bedroom suite. We were so incredibly impressed with the cleanliness and friendly staff members. I personally have never really liked staying at hotels because you never know what it’s going to be like until ur miles away from home. Well this was a very relaxing get away trip. The Inn is located in a wooded area but still just a short drive into the nearest towns. We had a wooden view from our room and it was so relaxing especially sitting out on the porch in the morning. Great place to stay!

This is the second time that we've stayed there, and we'll definitely be back again! We stayed in a two queen studio - it was great having the two separate sleeping areas and also a common area for relaxing in between activities. It's a quiet place to stay with a nice indoor pool and whirlpool to relax in. Perfect place for a girls' weekend made all the better by the welcoming friendliness of Ron, the front desk staff. Girls weekend trip

We stayed for 3 nights for a girls weekend. The resort was nice, clean and quiet. The room was very comfortable. The pools were warm and nice. The best part was the nice man at the front desk named Ron. He was very helpful and kind which made our stay so enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again. Wonderful stay in Door County

Waterbury Inn was an excellent place to stay. Note that it is not right in the middle of town. You can’t just walk very many places, but the drives are quite short to restaurants and grocery stores. The facility overall and our room in particular were very clean and very quiet. Cooking facilities: The kitchen worked very well for cooking for two, although there was almost no preparation space because the microwave was on the only counter. There was a dishwasher. We had all necessary utensils, pans, etc. In addition to kitchen cooking, there were two large gas grills on the patio that were available for guests to use. These were complete with appropriate utensils. The staff do clean the utensils—we noted they were dirty as we passed by one day, but when we went to actually use the grills the next day, everything was pristine. Other amenities: The grill patio also has a fire pit with lounging chairs and picnic tables. The rooms have private balconies (ours looked out over a wooded lot, which was quite nice). The indoor pool and hot tub area was great while we were there because it was completely empty except for us. I imagine it is not normally like that. There is a shower available poolside because they request that you shower before entering the pool. The outdoor pool was empty at the time we were there (early June). Noise: The facility was very quiet the whole time we were there, although that was primarily during the week. The room hallways are designated quiet zones, so that might explain why. On the weekend, when we were getting ready to check out, we did hear a bit of foot noise from the people above us, and we could hear doors closing and showers starting up. I suspect since it was the weekend they were busier overall. Temperature: It took us a while to figure out that there actually was some AC because all of the signage related to temperature control mentions leaving things on heating. There was a large AC unit in the living area that works with a remote control, but no cooling in the bedroom except a ceiling fan. However, the windows all open and are screened, so we were cool enough in early June, even at night. Bathroom: The bathroom was fine. The tub/shower had a clothesline that pulled out from the wall, which was convenient for hanging up swimsuits. Location: The location was great for visiting Rock Island. There was a Piggly Wiggly grocery store not too far away. As I mentioned above, you cannot just walk places, but none of the things we wanted to do were very far away. Lovely Inn, Wonderful Location

We stayed for 4 nights, and had a wonderful stay! The Inn is beautiful. It's very clean, and a great space for our family to spread out. Kitchenette is very well stocked, you could easily prepare a meal here if you wanted to. The grounds are gorgeous, and have tons of areas for relaxing or gathering. Grills outside for cooking. Our kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The outdoor pool was closed, but management e-mailed us about this well in advance of our stay, so it was not a surprise, and it was not a problem. Each unit has a balcony/patio, and that was wonderful. Waterbury is set back from the road, so it's extremely quiet. It's in an excellent location to explore Door County, and have this as your home base each night. Plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Highly recommend!
