Fantastic location - shocking service!

The Lofts Apartments Queenstown are well located with excellent access to all the sights. The studio unit was spacious and had all the necessary comforts. That was the good part... Reception was not manned - Checking in was a saga as I was telephonically advised by three different people who I contacted on three different phone numbers that we had no reservation. What caused the error i.e. RCI or the apartments is irrelevant. We finally coerced a set of keys out of a staff member who happened to wonder into the reception 30 minutes after we arrived. This only happened when I presented him with a hardcopy of the RCI Reservation confirmation. This was the last time we had any contact with any staff member for the duration of our week long stay. Another niggle was the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke in our allocated unit. No amount of ventilation could get rid of the smell - we spent as much time as we could outdoors and didn't have the energy to take it up with the very low profile staff... Would not stay here

The room was dated and had marks on the walls and carpet. Dishes weren’t clean, had to wash the dishes we needed prior to using. Cutlery draw was dirty. No one available at check in and check out during normal business hours. There was a camera positioned in the corridor outside our room which looked right in a window with no curtains/blinds. There was no warning about the camera (see picture). The only positive is the good location. The room was dated and had marks on the walls and carpet. Cheap but a bit grim

We stayed two nights in a 3 bedroom apartment that slept 7. The staff were very friendly but had little understanding of how to clean. We had to ask them to come in and vaccum as the floors were showing evidence of previous occupants. The floor tiles had dirty shoe marks and obviously hadn't seen a mop for some time however the sheets were clean and bathrooms clean. There were not enought mugs or glasses for the occupants, the window surrounds are disgusting with years of mold etc on the aluminium frames and there was a hole in the wall in one of the bedrooms. However the location was great and it wasn't expensive for a family of 6. One matter that was very concerning was the guy at reception left a bar heater on under the reception desk each night that we noticed and turned off...a huge fire hazard. Highly recommended

Not sure why the bad reviews this year. Stayed 8 days with 2 families in July 2021. Very spacious, clean & well appointed. Good heating, & electric blankets on all beds. Staff very helpful. Great location

Overall the location of the apartments is amazing. Lots of space within our room for our kids to move around. The room was warm upon entry which was a nice touch. More attention to detail on clean would have made the stay excellent, including washing all the dishes. Overall the location of the apartments is amazing.
