Неплохой отель

Неплохой отель для непродолжительной остановки во время поездки из Паленке в Тулум. Бунгало расположены в джунглях на достаточно большом расстоянии друг от друга и рецепции, где по вечерам бар работает на "самообслуживании". Вначале прикольно, но к концу ужина начинают раздражать перебравшие любители "халявы" и неубранный мусор. Бассейн расположен там же, и не очень хорошо, на пути из бара в туалеты. What comes out of the jungle next?

We spent 7 nights at the Explorean. The hotel is in the middle of the jungle. So we really relied on the activities provided by the hotel as there is not much to access close by, unless you have your own transportation. We went on several of the planned activities that were included with the stay including a tour of Kohunlich ruins, two trips to the Lake of 7 colors and the night Kayaking. We also booked two days of the optional additional paid activities, including a tour of Calakmul and snorkeling in Mahahual. A lot of time in the transportation vans but worth the travel. We loved all the activities. Several of the guides spoke English and really helped us, as our Spanish was minimal. At the hotel we spent time at the pool, enjoyed the food and spa. We loved all of the flora and fauna we got to see as well. The area is really beautiful. We were so excited to see howler monkeys at the ruins and spider monkeys on the night hike. So cool! It was a great trip but watch out for the luke warm showers and dangerous toilet seats. Also check the hammock before you sit in it. You never know what you might find. Jungle living but thankful for air

If you want to be out in the middle of nowhere and live simply this is your place. Rooms were decent. Pool was ok and food at restaurant was good. Loved the excursions they organized for us. Service was not so great and we constantly had to ask for service both at the restaurant and bar area. Property sales were happening constantly and were like vultures in the restaurant. This is ok… if you are fond of the jungle experience. 2 nights seems to be a maximum

This is lost in the jungle, a few steps away from a great and deserted maya site. The hotel is ok but there are a few buts: - aside from getting drunk with you some locals, this is not much to be done in the jungle, even if the hotel proposes some activities - there are bugs - waiters barely speak a few words of English, ordering food and drinks is a challenge and sometimes they’ll just take your order but never serve you - rooms are small houses lost in the jungle : depending on how lucky you are, you can be very far away from the restaurant: pool - beds are too small This is lost in the jungle, a few steps away from a great and deserted maya site. Best resort experience

Explorean is a small resort in the middle of the jungle. This is a very well maintained property with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It is a great place to go to if are looking for a relaxing retreat and/or want activities that explore nature in the and archeological sites in the southern part of the Yucatan Peninsula. Get Away From It All In The Mexican Rainforest

If you're looking to get away from it all, the Explorean Kohunlich is a great option. An hour outside of Chetumal, the capitol city of Quintana Roo, the Explorean is remote and quiet. Prior to and during our visit, Francisco, who served at the front desk, helped meet our every need. We were especially grateful for the Armando and the two Carloses who served as our English speaking guides on some amazing outing...kayaking, hiking and visiting Mayan ruins. Our accommodations were comfortable, clean and cared for daily by the exceptional housekeeping crew. We would have appreciated English menus for all meals, as ordering was a challenge for non-Spanish speakers. Some orders never arrived or items we didn't order were delivered. The quality of the food was fine, the experience at times, frustrating. We enjoyed a morning at the spa and several days at the pool, which at times we had to ourselves. All-in-all, this was a much needed getaway and a different experience for us, even from The Explorean Cozumel. Many thanks for a great week.
