Ice Skating Was Spectacular!!

Blown away by the fun we had ice skating today! So much appreciate Cayla's help setting us up and getting us on the ice! My whole family being a group of begrudging skating newbies came away with huge smiles to start the Thanksgiving holiday! And a new family tradition! Thanks Seventh Mt! Thanksgiving ice skating

This place was ready for me more than I was ready for it. They have all skate sizes, a great area for changing, cones to help keep your balance, and a disco ball. I had not skated in years (decades!) but it was totally comfortable and I loved the fire pit cuz it was darn cold out, but the warm hearted staff (Cayla) did a great job helping me out. Recommend! Out of the way, sales pitch to attend a sales pitch session was a huge turn off for us

The price we paid is what lured us to this place, but there were some quirky things with the junior loft we were in. This place is off the beaten path so if you want to be right in the hub of things you won’t want to stay here. Mainly I want to say the check in process was ridiculously slow and then they don’t give you your room key (wristband) at the registration desk. They send you to the concierge who then will waste 45-60 minutes of your time trying to entice you to attend a sales pitch for Worldmark resorts. It would be “ short and sweet” he said. I asked what exactly short and sweet was and was told 90 minutes!!! Also, you have to let him run your credit card for $50 and then once you’ve attended the session you’ll get that refunded. We couldn’t get a straight answer as to why that was necessary so that was the deal breaker right there and we didn’t sign up to attend. We were pretty irritated with how much Tim we wasted standing there, when what we wanted to do was get our wristbands and go relax in our room. The kitchenette was nice to have; bed was too soft; couldn’t get sound from the main tv. The tv up in the loft bedroom didn’t work. Two bathrooms in the place and they supplied a small bottle of shampoo in the downstairs bathroom and the small bottle of conditioner in the upstairs bathroom. Weird. Heat worked fine. Working the bugs out. (Part two)

Yep. Still bugs. A lot of them in the vents! Good thing they give you bug spray in your welcome packet, it really helped, but we were left with that awful smell. Surprised this is a Worldmark resort. But then again the way WorldMark has been slipping in quality I’m not at all surprised. .l Booked two nights left after the first night. Yep. Still bugs. A lot of them in the vents! Seventh Mountain Resort NOT very resourceful!

Outdated room decor! They messed up our room reservation and put us in a room with the fridge in the living room and missing drywall in the kitchen! There was dirty carpet, thin walls in our “replacement” room, a junior loft suite. The pool area had not enough chairs, and most lounge chairs were broken or not useable. No signage for the bathrooms/changing rooms at the pool. Nights were quite loud with quite a few party-ers. Restaurant was depressing and dismal. The only nice things were the view from the balcony and the nature trails to the Deschutes River nearby. Don’t bother to spend your hard-earned money and time here! Outdated room decor!
