Pretty average spot. Nothing horribly wrong with the place – a bit cold and impersonal. But also nothing that really stands out about it either. If you need a stop for a night or two, be sure to request the newer units and you'll be fine. For Dullstroom, it's probably about as good as it gets. Amazing Place away from Home

Dunkeld Country Estate is breath taking. The place is clean, fresh and safe, the wild animals are amazingly safe to watch ,it is away from the hectic Life we live in ,such tranquility ,the apartments are clean, spacious and modern, Friendly staff and caring ,they also have a spa ,horse riding ,and lots of other games fir the whole family to be entertained Dunkeld Country Estate I will definitely be back ...Kim Kallidin Dunkeld Country Estate is breath taking. Beware of the fine print

Sadly this stay was not a particularly memorable one for us. We had booked the lodge as we were two couples. The booking showed that we could enjoy the use of common kitchen, dining area and fireplaces. On arrival we were even told to stock up on firewood to use in this common space. Sadly however we were informed (only once we had unpacked) that the common area came at an extra charge. This was not what was shown on the original booking and so sadly we had to spend a good portion of our first evening negotiating the use of this area at a cost to ourselves (rather than being able to unwind and relax) We we’re definitely left feeling like it was our fault that the advertised space was at an extra charge and we weren’t really treated with anything more than disdain by the front desk. Uncool rooms

Booked a one night stay at the Dunkeld Country and Equestrian Estate hotel. The directions and room numbers were not clearly marked. The room did not have aircon to warm the room and only had electric blanket which was disappointing for a newer establishment. There was only 1 outside garden chair on the balcony yet these rooms are booked mainly for couples. Reception did not provide WIFI password when checking in and WIFI did not work.
