Quarter House during Hurricane Ida

I have stayed at Quarter House in the past and was so impressed with the resort manager and her staff that over time I bought two units. We were there when Hurricane Ida hit in August. We had no idea what to do or expect. The staff made sure we and others who couldn’t get out in time were safe with food, water, lights and anything else they could provide. I liked the location and amenities before but their concern overwhelmed my wife and me. We always enjoy everything about the Southern elegance of the historic well-kept resort and plan to spend a lot of time there in the future. Quarter House is definitely Five Star + in every way. NOLA STAY

Perfect location, units off the street so no night time noise from revelers. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The resort had a couple of gatherings for the occupants with music and it was very well done considering all of the COVID requirements. Avoid The Quarter House

The Quarter House is a timeshare condominium building. We were in New Orleans for a wedding and stayed at The Quarter House because my in-laws owned the timeshare. Regardless, it still cost $175 per night. The first glaring problem was that there is no loading zone in front of the lobby. The Quarter House is on a one lane, one way street, and there is no room to park and unload luggage. You have to park on a side street illegally a half block down to unload. Next, there is no on-site parking. The parking garage is two blocks away, at another hotel, and it cost an additional $36 per day. The final insult was when we had to change rooms after the second night. We agreed to this when we made the reservation. What we didn’t know is that we had to be out of the first room at 10AM, but could not get into the second room until 4PM. A word about the authoritarian city of New Orleans. Doesn't deserve a one star.

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, condos & BnBs. This was absolutely my worst experience ever. I booked a week at this hotel through Interval International timeshare and saw some of the negative reviews --- wish I would've read closer. We arrived and got checked into a 1-bedroom condo. As soon as we walked in, the room was very clearly NOT CLEAN. The pillows and comforter had literal stains on them. After a long day of travel across the country, I tried to shake it off and took a shower. When I got out of the shower, I went into the master to change and noticed something sticking out of the bed. I looked and it was a crusty sweatshirt. That made me think like "ok if this is here, what else hasn't been cleaned". I looked further under the bed and saw a sex toy. Not only was this room now unclean, it was unhygienic. Super upset, went downstairs to address this with the front desk. She didn't seem super surprised to be honest, considering what was found under the bed, and offered to change our room to a 2-bedroom. We packed up to move to the new room, and as we walked down the hallway, a small rodent darted down the hall. I asked for the hotel manager to contact me, but only the front desk supervisor did -- even though I also asked her. The second room was cleaner, but not very clean. There were crusty stains on the carpet and on the bed's comforter. I wish we could've left, but had no where else to go considering the hotel and Interval International didn't give us a refund. Quarter House, French Quarter in New Orleans

We LOVED our stay at the Quarter House in the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA. The staff was wonderful, the accommodations were very nice and met all of our expectations and more. We could walk anywhere we wanted in the French Quarter. We will stay there again! We LOVED our stay at the Quarter House in the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA.
